fKeys is a MacOS X keyboard tweaker. It is heavily inspired by uControl, but its rewritten for Tiger from the ground up. In fact, it ONLY runs on Tiger.
It is still incredibly young, so it does only three things at present:
1. CAPS LOCK on every keyboard attached to your Macintosh turns into a Control key.
2. The right Control key of any external keyboard connected to your Macintosh becomes a Command key.
3. The Enter key on the internal keyboard of a PowerBook becomes an Option key.
THATS IT. No runtime configuration, no pretty preference pane, no mouse handling, no nothin -- just those three things. With more to come later, of course. [ :) ]

- (and its cousin 0.0.6) supports USB-based PowerBooks as well as the older ADB-based PowerBooks.

This script just deletes the file com.apple.finder.plist in the current users Preferences folder und then relaunches the Finder. Youll need to re-edit Finders view options after running.
Why did I write this poor little script? Well, its very pesky when you need to go to the Preferences folder nearly every day to delete the concerning file and restart, for this icon problem is pretty persistent.

If the IM is for foreign language (script system) to your Mac OS system, the IM is not loaded until you first use it after the computers startup.
So, if you get sick of that every time you first use the IM, try putting proper StartupIM application(s) into Startup Items folder in the System Folder of your startup disk.
The StartupIM apps for Mac OS X are now available. If you still get nervous of the every first launch of the input method also in Mac OS X, try adding the proper StartupIM application(s) to the Login Items by the System Preferences. Just note that it may be less effective than it is in Mac OS 9.
Compared with the Mac OS version, the Mac OS X version does something complex internally because of a technical reason. Because of that, using the StartupIM for Mac OS X (that is CFM Carbon app) on Mac OS 8 or 9 is not much recommended though it works on Mac OS + CarbonLib.
