NewsMac 3.2
NewsMac - Stream Mac news headlines to your desktop more>>
Main features:
- Before the new 3G iPods came out we had no choice but to use the iPods address book to store information, but now NewsMac utilises the new text note system leaving your address book for what its supposed to be there for.
- NewsMac lets you synchronize* more than just headlines with your Palm PDA - you can sync the news story from the web page the headline is linked to. NewsMac has been updated to work with the new iSilo 4 too.

PowerPCheck 3.2
PowerPCheck - Looks for native PowerPC code inside applications, control panels etc more>> <<less
WinSwitch 3.2.1
Access Fast User Switching via slim menubar item more>>
Wouldnt it be nice if you could access the feature through a compact, icon-sized Menu Bar icon? WinSwitch does exactly that, closely matching the performance and style of the Apple-provided menu, but without all the bulk.
In fact, it even corrects some problems with Apples menu by eliminating certain "daemon" users which shouldnt show up in the list, and by improving the alignment of user icons in the menu.
WinSwitch gives you rapid access to the Accounts preference pane, and is completely customizable, allowing you to choose from four different menu bar styles: Standard icon, User picture, Full username and Short username.
Enhancements:
- Ive just put a new build of WinSwitch (version 3.2.1) on the server to correct a spurious crash warning that may appear on first launch.
- If youve already installed 3.2 then there is no need to upgrade unless you continue to see the warning; the spurious warning should appear only once.
MacHacha 3.2
MacHacha - Split archives into smaller parts and join them when requested more>>
If you usually download movies, music or large archives from news groups, public web servers, streamload, edonkey or whatever place, this is your tool.
If youd like transportate a 5MB document in a floppy disk to your home, or fit a 400MB archive in two ZIP discs, or even move a 7GB film to a computer with a DVD burner and you only have a single CD-RW, this is your tool.
If you wish share a 6MB document with your PC-friends over the internet and you can only put up online chunks of 1MB because of your ISP restrictions, this is your tool.
Main features:
- You can share your documents even if your friends doesnt own a macintosh.
- You dont need switch to a PC (or VirtualPC) to join the archives you get.
- You can generate and join full-compatible UNIX/Linux segments.
- You can generate and join segments compatible with other Mac OS X apps, such as E Pluribus Unum, Splitter, Split&Concat or xMerge.
- You can create mac-compliant segments preserving resource fork and meta-information using the MacHacha format.
- You can uncompress RAR files and RAR segments without switching to a different app or gibberishing in the command-line.
- You can automate your own projects (eg, "I wish split 1000+ documents"), because MacHacha supports AppleScripting.
Enhancements:
- Universal Binary.
- Removed UNRAR support. My favorite app for this task is now Rar Expander.
Schick 3.2
Schick - Transfer files over Rendezvous network more>>
I used to use Mac OS X FileSharing and the DropBox, but I dont get notified, and I have to mount the other users Home DropBox by hand. Additionally the number of logged in users on Mac OS X Client is limited. Since no tool existed for this purpose, I made my own (as usual).
Main features:
- Rendezvous-enabled
- No configuration necessary
- Automatically fetches username and user image from your Macintosh Preferences / Address Book.
FFTW 3.2.1
C library that will help you compute the Discrete Fourier Transform more>> C library that will help you compute the Discrete Fourier Transform
FFTW is a C subroutine library for computing the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) in one or more dimensions, of arbitrary input size. FFTW will compute the DFT in both real and complex data (as well as of even/odd data, i.e. the discrete cosine/sine transforms or DCT/DST).
Main features:
- Speed. (Supports SSE/SSE2/3dNow!/Altivec, since version 3.0.)
- Both one-dimensional and multi-dimensional transforms.
- Arbitrary-size transforms. (Sizes with small prime factors are best, but FFTW uses O(N log N) algorithms even for prime sizes.)
- Fast transforms of purely real input or output data.
- Transforms of real even/odd data: the discrete cosine transform (DCT) and the discrete sine transform (DST), types I-IV. (Version 3.0 or later.)
- Efficient handling of multiple, strided transforms. (This lets you do things like transform multiple arrays at once, transform one dimension of a multi-dimensional array, or transform one field of a multi-component array.)
- Parallel transforms: parallelized code for platforms with Cilk or for SMP machines with some flavor of threads (e.g. POSIX). An MPI version for distributed-memory transforms is also available, currently only as part of FFTW 2.1.5.
- Portable to any platform with a C compiler. Documentation in HTML and other formats.
- Both C and Fortran interfaces.
Enhancements
- Performance improvements for sizes with factors of 5 and 10.
- Documented FFTW_WISDOM_ONLY flag, at the suggestion of Mario Emmenlauer and Phil Dumont.
- Port Cell code to SDK2.1 (libspe2), as opposed to the old libspe1 code.
- Performance improvements in Cell code for N < 32k, thanks to Jan Wagner for the suggestions.
- Cycle counter for Sun x86_64 compiler, and compilation fix in cycle counter for AIX/xlc (thanks to Jeff Haferman for the bug report).
- Fixed incorrect type prefix in MPI code that prevented wisdom routines from working in single precision (thanks to Eric A. Borisch for the report).
- Added make check for MPI code (which still fails in a couple corner cases, but should be much better than in alpha2).
- Many other small fixes.
TapDex 3.2
TapDex gives you a quick and simple search interface to your Mac OS Xs Address Book more>>
TapDex is small, fast and takes up very little resources. It is designed to run in the background and activated with a hot key.

TftpServer 3.2.1
An utility which helps you to utilize and configure the TFTP server shipped with the standard Mac OSX distribution more>>
TftpServer 3.2.1 is a handy tool which makes it easier for you to utilize and configure the TFTP server shipped with the standard Mac OSX distribution. Using this application you can start/stop the TFTP service on your Mac and change its working path, that's where the files are sent to and received from by any TFTP client (e.g. a Cisco router or switch). In addition, other features are available to help you to seamlessy send and receive files from any TFTP enabled device to a Macintosh acting as TFTP server.
This is useful if you have a lot of network devices and want to store in a safe place all their configuration files and operating system binary images. These files can be reused later (or modified using a text editor on your Mac) to easily configure from scratch other similar devices or update their system image files.
PTHClock 2.3.2
PTHClock - Menu bar clock & calendar more>>
This application is donateware, if you like it and want to support future development please visit the web page to donate.
Enhancements:
- Made changes for future OS compatibility.
Anacron 3.2
Anacron runs the periodic daily, weekly and monthly tasks on your Mac more>>
Anacron silently checks when you reboot and every sixty minutes while the computer is running to see if the various periodic scripts are overdue, and runs them if necessary.
The advantage of Anacron over many other solutions to this issue is that it runs as a proper Unix background process, requires no user intervention, and uses the regular periodic scripts, including local additions or modifications.
Anacron comes in an installer and requires no configuration or setup. Once installed, it runs as a background daemon and needs no attention.
Installing this version of Anacron will upgrade an older installation, including removing obsolete startup files and editing /etc/crontab to remove entries that are no longer used.
Enhancements:
- The package has been configured to work with the launchd daemon in MacOS 10.4 and later versions of MacOS.
- This version (3.2) includes a Universal binary for both PPC and Intel Macs.
Taply 1.3.2
Taply is a simple soundfile player more>>
The main difference between Taply and other players lies in the fact that it consists of nothing more than a tiny floating window and that it will quit after having finished playing. This way, (at least for me) its the perfect tool to scan quickly through a large number of audio files.
Enhancements:
- Universal Binary.
Untar 1.3.2
Untar is a wrapper application which acts as the front end to a variety of UNIX utilities more>>
However, since those days, the masses have come to use computers, and they expect an easy to use system with graphical elements and interaction.
The days of the command-line interface are distant, and expecting the average user to resort to those older methods is normally out of the question. This is where Untar steps in.
Untar is a wrapper application which acts as the front end to a variety of UNIX utilities, such as tar, gzip, bzip2, rar, and zip.
Untar is able to uncompress files in .tar, .tar.gz, .tgz, .tar.z, .z, .gz, .svgz .Z, .tar.Z, .taz, .tar.bz, .tar.bz2, .tbz, .tbz2, .bz, .bz2, .rar, and .zip formats. Source code and project are included.
