Gutenprint, formerly named Gimp-Print, is a suite of printer drivers that may be used with most common UNIX print spooling systems, including CUPS, lpr, LPRng, or others.
These drivers provide high quality printing for UNIX (including Macintosh OS X 10.2, 10.3, and 10.4) and Linux systems that in many cases equal or exceed proprietary vendor-supplied drivers in quality and functionality, and can be used for demanding printing tasks requiring flexibility and high quality.
This software package includes the Print plug-in for the GIMP and Ghostscript and CUPS drivers, as well as Foomatic data.
Gutenprint provides a very high quality package of printer drivers for Ghostscript and CUPS. To install the drivers please read the "Setting up printers" PDF which is included with the download.

The reason for not setting this flag is to get better performance when displaying the video on the computer monitor, but it yields a blocky, blurred image. Todays faster Macs dont really need this performance boost, and can sustain realtime rates even with the high quality flag set.
Using HiQual is a lot quicker than using QuickTime Player to set the flag on each movie.
You can set the high quality flag using QuickTime Player Pro, but it can be a time-consuming task if you need to adjust many movies.
Using HiQual, just drop one or move QuickTime movies onto the application and the high quality flag will immediately be set. You can even use HiQual to clear the flag by just holding down the option key when dropping movies.
Whether or not the high quality flag is set only affects the video when its displayed on the computer monitor; the image is unchanged when sent over the FireWire connection to a camera or VTR.
