Hack to the Past II 2.0
Hack to the Past II is a multi-purpose, highly customizable system utility. more>>
Hack to the Past II 2.0 is a multi-purpose, highly customizable system utility. This little script applet will bring back the shortcut key combo, Command + N, for creating a New Folder before Apple (Hello, McFly, anybody in there?), in their infinite wisdom, switched it to Command + Shift + N. So instead of continuing to use that cumbersome command to create a new folder, you can now 'Hack to the Past' and return to using Command + N like it was before the cats (all OS X versions) came on the scene. It will also swap the New Finder Window with Command + Shift + N as it should be, IMHO.
You can also revert back if you've become used to the "cat's" way and you're getting totally confused and are simply used to these post-OS 9 commands. Plus, the actual menu items (in the Finder) are updated as well, and Command + N will work even in dialog boxes, so everything is seemless to you, the end user. Will not 'stop working' between software updates, but you will likely have to run the script again if you reinstall system software or update to a completely new 10.x version.

CmapTools 5.03
Construct, navigate and share knowledge models as concept maps. more>> Construct, navigate and share knowledge models as concept maps.
CmapTools program empowers users to construct, navigate, share and criticize knowledge models represented as concept maps.
It allows users to, among many other features, construct their Cmaps in their personal computer, share them on servers (CmapServers) anywhere on the Internet, link their Cmaps to other Cmaps on servers, automatically create web pages of their concept maps on servers, edit their maps synchronously (at the same time) with other users on the Internet, and search the web for information relevant to a concept map.
CmapTools has been translated into seventeen (17) different languages. It runs in Catalan, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, English, Basque, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Italian, Japanese, Kuna, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish. Cmaptools defaults to the language of the operating system, but can be changed in the Preferences menu item.
If you would like to see detailed instructions please read the entry titled "How to Change the Language" included in the Help.
The IHMC CmapTools client is free for use by anybody, whether its use is commercial or non-commercial. In particular, schools and universities are encouraged to download it and install it in as many computers as desired, and students and teachers may make copies of it and install it at home.
System requirements:
- PowerPC G4 processor or higher recommended.
- 256 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended.
- Disk space requirements: 75 MB of available hard disk space.
- Super VGA (800 X 600) or higher resolution video adapter and monitor.
- Keyboard and Mouse or compatible pointing device.
Enhancements
- The new short URL format provides at least two benefits over the previous URL format, which produced URLs that were quite a bit longer than the new ones.
- The new URLs will fit more easily into an email message.
- The URL now contains the name of the resource to which it refers.
- Fixed selection problem on Mac OS X when right-clicking.
- Now CmapTools provides support to iWork09 file formats.
- Fixed a bug where Cmaptools was unable to export a Cmap as web page; a Cmap that was created manually as CXL and then imported into Cmaptools.
- Fixed a bug where an error message appeared in the internet browser when you tried to view a manually created CXL Cmap as web page.
- Fixed a bug where annotations, created in a Cmap using Cmaptools v5.0 Beta14, did not appear when the same Cmap was opened using Cmaptools v4.18.
- Both the Web Search and Concept Suggester now make use of the "language" property of the Concept Map (if the user has set it), and will try to contextualize searches and suggestions in such language. For example: if the language property of the cmap is set to Spanish, the Web Search and Concept suggestions are in Spanish too.
- Fixed a bug that happened after selecting all the concepts in a Cmap, then adding a shadow to them, they would gain a shadow but these shadows would disappear when you added another concept, and selected "None" for shadow for that new concept and then double clicked to add yet another new concept.
- Fixed a bug where the font used changed after a symbol from the mathematical character set had been placed. For example typing "hello" + "mathematical symbol" + "hello", would show the second hello in a times-like font, while the first hello would remain in the default Verdana.
- Now is available a CmapTools distribution for 64-bit architecture for Windows and Linux operating systems.
