Better Search 1.2 gives you a free tool with which you can run multiple searches at the same time, search in packages, search visible and invisible directories and search case insensitive or not.
Beginning with MacOS X 10.4.0 Spotlight took away the ability to search deeply in your hard drive. You could not search packages nor could you search in invisible directories. Better Search attempts to correct that.
While it is not as pretty as Spotlight it does allow one to have greater control over a search. But this comes at a cost. Better search does use a high level of cpu time and memory. Better Search will also allow you to either only search for Directories or files, or both. Keep in mind when you search that Bundles such as Applications, are considered by the system to be directories. This will possibly be accounted for in a future release but for now you must choose to find either files and folder, or folders if you are looking for applications or other bundles.

It's only simple, but it does the job well. Give it 2 tab delimited files and an output file will be created on the desktop with an extra column appended to the end that will contain the vertical lookup data.

You can specify which types of characters will be used in the password. It is recommended to use all available characters to generate a complicated, strong password. On the other hand, passwords with special symbols, for instance, are harder to remember, so you might wish to exclude those characters if you need to keep the password in your head. The longer password you have, the stronger it is. Minimum recommended length of the password is five-six characters. Eight or ten character passwords are just right for most web services. Simple click "Generate" and get your password generated and ready to use! When the password is generated, select it using mouse cursor, copy and paste into the appropriate field. Therefore, these password strings are just for you. No one else can ever see them or get them. You may safely take these strings as they are, or use chunks from several to build your own if you prefer, or do whatever you want with them. Each set displayed are totally, uniquely yours - forever.
