Iraq War: US Wounded 1.1 is designed to be an enhanced widget which can show the current number of US wounded in the Iraq war. It is the second in a planned series of widgets related to the war. Advances in body armor and army field hospitals have led to an increased survival rate among soldiers compared to previous wars. However, many more soldiers are returning home having lost limbs in injuries that would have killed them a generation ago.
