Over the past two years, Midnight Mage Software has been given support and encouragement from a wide range of sources. Friends, family, MUGs and our own product Users have shown loyalty that has at times been surprising and often most humbling. As a Thank You, we wish to give you a surprise, a little something extra.

Google Go Actions are a set of Mac OS X Address Book plug-ins that will allow you to get Google directions and/or a Google map to any entry in your Address Book instantly. For those of you who are not familiar with the capabilities of your Address Book, several of the Fields, such as phone, email and webpage have pop-up menus that appear with Actions. Now, when you click on the address field label (ex. Home, Office), you have two new actions at your disposal:

• "Google Map For…" will show the map of this location using Google Maps as the default browser.
• "Google Directions To…" will launch Google Maps with directions to this location from your home address (assuming you have a Me entry in the address book with your primary address).

Folder Actions are back in Mac OS X version 10.2, aka Jaguar. They are included as a scriptable system event, but theyre kind of out of the way. Apple gave us some scripts for the Scripts Menu to control them.

Unfortunately they are a little cumbersome compared to the control-click connivence of Mac OS 9. So, the developer wrapped the supplied scripts into a tiny Apple Script Studio application. It was tiny and only took about 10 minutes to do. But it is so useful, the developer thought hed share it with you all.

Podcast Actions contains four actions designed to aid in podcast creation. Includes sample workflow and tutorial.

Export Garageband Project: This action will export the current GarageBand project to iTunes. The result will be a reference to the new iTunes track. This action requires UI Scripting support be active.

Export to MPEG Audio: This action will export MPEG audio files (AAC) from the AIFF files passed to it from the previous action. You can select multiple compression settings to create more than one export file. This action requires a valid QuickTime Pro license.

Create Podcast Feed: This action uses the audio files passed to it from the previous action and the information entered in the action view to create create the XML text needed to make an XML RSS podcast feed file. Follow this action with the New Plain Text File action to create a new XML file using the feed text.

New Plain Text File: This action writes the text data passed from the previous action to a plain text file (non-Unicode). Plain text files are useful for creating RSS feeds and other HTML or XML-based files for use on the internet.

Advenio iCal Actions has three iCal-focused Automator actions; Find Past iCal Events, Move iCal Events, and Get Date Range String from Events.

These actions can be used alone in your own workflows or combined together to achieve complex tasks as in the case of the included example workflow that archives old iCal events.

Advenio iCal Actions will help you find Past iCal Events: This action lets you search for past events based on timeframe.

Move iCal Events: This action moves the specified iCal events to the specified calendar.

Get Date Range String from Events: This action creates a date range string from the iCal events provided to it.
