Son of Fugu is not a commercial product. As with all other software on this site, it started out as a project for my personal use (and remains largely so), but Ive decided to release it in case anyone else is interested. Please keep in mind that I work on this project in my spare time, which is limited.
Why fork Fugu? The changes to the source code and user interface are significant enough that I believe it would be impractical to merge them into Fugu. Additionally, Im interested in utilizing recent Mac OS features that break backward compatibility with earlier OS versions supported by Fugu. In a nutshell, I believe that my goals for this project differ from those of the Fugu project.

Known Issues
- About box incorrectly reports version as 0.1.1.

GmailX just starts the gmailpopd.py and gmailsmtp.py files in python, which allows to check your mail via POP3 in for example "Mail.app". However, the fact that GmailX is just a go between, means that the program itself doesnt affect the results you will get in your mail application. This depends entirely on libgmail and gmailpopd. With the introduction of the SMTP ability in GmailX, it is possible to send mails through your Gmail account from within your mail application.

To install, either use sudo ./installer from this directory, or copy the xstat program file to where you wish, and the man page if you wish to install that, as well.
You can customize the install path with the installer by giving it the path you wish to install as an argument. E.g. sudo ./installer /usr will install it to /usr rather than to /usr/local (the default).
