R for Mac OS X 2.9
R for Mac OS X is such an essential program which provides a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. more>>
R for Mac OS X 2.9 is such an essential program which provides a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics.
R is similar to the award-winning S system, which was developed at Bell Laboratories by John Chambers et al. It provides a wide variety of statistical and graphical techniques (linear and nonlinear modelling, statistical tests, time series analysis, classification, clustering, ...).
R is designed as a true computer language with control-flow constructions for iteration and alternation, and it allows users to add additional functionality by defining new functions. For computationally intensive tasks, C, C++ and Fortran code can be linked and called at run time.
Apart from specific innovations in R itself this new build provides a brand new Cocoa GUI designed and implemented from scratch with many new features. Among these: internal editor with syntax highlighting, code and file completion, enhanced AppleScript support, new packages installer and manager, data editor and manager.

DateTree 1.1
DateTree - Organize files and photos by date (EXIF aware) more>>
Although the program was written with images in mind, it will handle any file. Selective copying is possible, and several date-based organizations are offered.
DateTree understands the dates which many digital cameras embed into digital photo files.
If the embedded date is not available, or for non-image files, DateTree uses the modification date of the file to determine which date folder it should be placed into.
DateTrees copy is much faster than the processing-intensive import in iPhoto and other image processing programs. Its perfect for those who prefer not to use a complex photo manager, and only lack a tool to organize their images in the file system.
Nap Time 0.1
Nap Time - Ultra lightweight app that sleeps the computer at a user specified time more>>
For example, if you wish to encode a long QuickTime movie, you can start it before you go to sleep and have NapTime sleep the computer after a reasonable period of time has elapsed.
When running, Nap Time will attempt to block the automatic idle sleep which is specified in the Energy Saver portion of System Preferences. This feature may not work reliably, however. If the computer sleeps prematurely, just disable idle sleep in the System Preferences while you are using Nap Time.
Nap Time uses a negligible number of CPU cycles when running, and should not adversely affect any computationally intensive applications you may running simultaneously.
Finders Friend X 1.0
Finders Friend X - Quit or restart Finder to free up some memory more>>
Ever run processor intensive programs such as emulators (ie. Virtual PC or SNES9X) and games? Well if you dont have a spiffy new imac or a lightening fast blue and white tower and you arent getting the performance that you want from these applications, then quitting the Finder may help improve your speed. When you quit the Finder you will notice that the finder is no longer available in the active application menu in the top right corner of the screen and you cannot simply click the desktop to make it return. I can hear you asking "How do get my Finder back?" Fear not my friend, simply quit all open applications and the Finder will return.
I offer no guarantees with this script to how much performance you will gain. I also take no responsibility for any damage it may cause. I use this script quite frequently on my own mac and have never encountered a single serious problem since its creation.
Enhancements:
- OS X support.

Livid BEU 1.23
Livid BEU is created to be an intuitive program which helps with recompressing and resizing a folder of QuickTime media to a different format. more>> Livid BEU 1.23 is created to be an intuitive program which helps with recompressing and resizing a folder of QuickTime media to a different format. Many live video applications perform best with a low-CPU intensive codec, such as PhotoJPG, but the variety of codecs in your video library may vary wildly.
Movies downloaded from the internet, shot with a DV camera, or captured with a video digitizer will all be encoded in different formats: the Batch Export Utility lets you unify your library in four easy steps. It can also be used to compress movies for internet delivery and streaming, enhancing clips by adjusting the brightness and contrast, upsampling and resizing clips for use in a video editing program, or exporting the first frame as a still image thumbnail.
Enhancements:
- Release notes not available currently
Requirements:
- Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.
BibGene 1.2.2
BibGene is created as a professional and useful BibTeX-compatible Macintosh application for maintaining databases of references to scientific papers. more>>
BibGene 1.2.2 is created as a professional and useful BibTeX-compatible Macintosh application for maintaining databases of references to scientific papers. BibGene was designed with two purposes: To maintain BibTeX information in a cross-linked object-oriented format which makes it easier to detect and correct common mistakes such as multiple spellings of an author's or journal's name. To provide a way to store information that does not fit well into the BibTeX framework, such as citations from one paper to another, pointers to online preprints, and author addresses.
