Flashcard Wizard is a powerful flashcard study environment. Besides the ability to practice flashcards with 2 or 3 fields of information, these fields may include pictures and non-roman text for language study.

Flashcard Wizards most unique and useful functions, however, come from its "Interval Study" features. Interval study helps you in review of your material by choosing only those words for review which are likely to be soon forgotten.

JACTVocab 2.0 is one of the most advantageous tools to accompany use of the Ancient Greek beginner textbook "Reading Greek". Now updated for the second edition of "Reading Greek." This program includes all the learned vocabulary from the textbook, allows this vocabulary to be sorted and consulted in ways likely to be useful to students and teachers, and creates flashcards. Good for students learning the vocabulary; good for teachers writing quizzes.

VocableTrainerX is intended to be an easy program to learn vocables of a foreign language, without bloat.
You can enter vocables in two languages and afterwards start a quiz to learn them by heart, like you would do it with flashcards.
Pressing "Add Vocable" on the toolbar opens a drawer, there you can enter the word in both languages plus the lesson it belongs to. When you entered it, you can add the next vocables. The lesson isnt deleted yet as normally you enter more vocables of one lesson in one session.
You can either start a quiz by pressing "Start quiz with selection" , which simply does what it says at once, or by pressing "Start quiz" which lets you select the lessons you wanted to be tested about plus lets you specify the order of languages you will be asked.
Simple! You will see the vocable in one language, youll make up your mind what it should be in the other language, then you press solve to see if you were right. If so, press right guess, if not, press wrong guess, and the next vocable is gonna appear.
If youre through with all vocables you have the choice of repeating the quiz with all the vocables you didnt knew.
In the main list of vocables you will see for each vocable how well you already know it. R stands for number of right guesses, T stands for number of total guesses. The traffic light control on the right is on green if you knew the vocable in more than 2 thirds of your attempts, on red if you knew it in less than 1 third of your attempts and on white if you never tried it yet. You can also reset the counter in the menue.
Of course you can also delete, sort, filter, copy and paste your vocables, plus export them into a CSV file if you want to work on them in your spreadsheet programm.

Data Bank is a really simple program which just organizes key-value pairs in a vaguely useful arrangement.

The important aspect of the program, however, is that it demonstrates how to use plug-ins which share code with the host application. It also uses Cocoa Bindings for the UI and data organization.
To facilitate the code sharing, it shows the creation and use of embedded code frameworks. Includes plug-ins to export to a raw text file, an XHTML web page, or a directory of text files (suitable for storage on an iPod to be used as digital flashcards).
