Next it merges them together with the tiffutil unix command. Then it makes that tiff file into an icon with the tiff2icns unix command. Finally, it cleans up the tiff files it created. You then choose whether to view of not to view the icon.

This may allow other scripts designed for pre-Tiger to continue to work. Note that you will lose any hierarchies you may have created in iCal 2.
Note that this script has a line to remove all calendars currently in ~/Library/Calendars, so that when you run this repeatedly, they neither stack up nor report a conflict or error. This line is commented out in the posted version for safety.
Note also that this script calls a perl script (iCalCopier.pl) to extract the calendar name from the Info.plist file.
