Explore! is a desert exploration game in the spirit of the classic adventure games of the olden days. It is a game by Durandal Brytting, of minor fame as connoisseur of old Mac games.
Like most of the games, it strives to return to the good old days when games lasted. Also, Im pretty sure that its an educational game for your kids. If nothing else they might learn some long words and what a desert rose is.

Free Dashboard map widget for your Mac more>> Were chagrined to announce the public release of HandBrake 0.9.1. Why chagrined? Because 0.9.0 wasnt as stable as it should have been, something 0.9.1 rectifies.
This minor update squashes a number of glaring bugs. Most notably, HandBrake will no longer hang at the end of encoding MKV files with chapter markers. This means the Animation, Bedlam, Constant Quality Rate, Deux Six Quatre, Film, and Television presets are now usable.

PowerXplorer is a small application I wrote to test the Power Macintosh speed in native floating-point calculations. It draws the Mandelbrot set and lets you explore it by zooming in and out at will.
PowerXplorer is a fast Mandelbrot fractal graphics generator
PowerXplorer is a fat application: it contains code for both the 680x0 processors and the new PowerPC chip. The 680x0 code requires at least a 68020 and a 68881 coprocessor; it doesnt run on a 68LC040 because that chip has no math coprocessor. PowerXplorer requires 256 colors (or grays) to display the images properly; with thousands or millions of colors the image is correct, but theres no color animation.
