A variety of simple math fact review activities including facts against a timer, building a number sentence and 11 different "math square" games. Many timed activities are accompanied by a "Hall of Fame."
We wrote this facts review program to eliminate some problems associated with paper work sheets. There is no copy machine, no hand correcting, and for students that have trouble with the pressure of timed tests, most of these puzzles allow them to practice independently with a timer. Best of all, these activities are perhaps a bit more fun than regular paper worksheets.
And what could be more fun that running an Aqua-style interface on a non-OSX PPC or Windows machine? Need to run your iMac lab under OS9 with only 256 colors? Hey, us, too. Specially optimized graphics insure that Aqua-style color gradients look good even at 256 colors.
Although many of the games in this application were designed with 8-10 year olds as the target audience, most ages from 7 and up will find suitable activities.

Time-based Animation is a REALbasic example that uses time to control the movement of sprites in a sprite surface creating smooth-as-a-babys-bottom animation.

Completly freeware for non-commercial use.

Math Practice is a utility designed to help one practice math (arithmetic, simple algebra and roman numeral) skills. Each skill (add, subtract, multiply, divide, simple algebra and roman numerals) has three skill levels (easy, medium and hard). The easy skill level is appropriate for the beginner.
The hard skill level challenges the adult with pencil and pad. Problems are generated using random numbers with ranges appropriate for the skill level. Feedback is provided. Scores are kept and sound is supported. After ten correct answers, the user hears applause. Sound can be turned on/off.
Enhancements:

TimeBase Control Plug-in is a REALbasic plug-in that lets you create a new time base. Time bases rely on either aclock component or another time base for their time source.

You can useSetTime Base Master TimeBase to cause one time base to be based on another timebase. Get Time Base Master Time Base allows you to determine the master time baseof a given time base. You can assign a clock component to a time base; thatclock then acts as the master clock for the time base

You can useSetTime Base Master Clock to assign a clock component to a time base.GetTime Base Master Clock enables you to determine the clock component that isassigned to a time base.

You can change the offset between a time base andits time source by calling SetTimeBaseZero. You can set the time source of amovie by calling SetMovieMasterTimeBase or SetMovieMasterClock.

Disk Base is a very simple and small application that enables the user to organize CD-DVD collections more easily.

Color Select Cell is a canvas based color selection cell control for REALbasic.
Uses system calls to draw a properly themed button.

Base Converter converts an integer expressed in one base to an expression in another base. The allowed bases range from 2 to 36. The length of the integer is limited only by available memory.
Base Converter is a Cocoa Application made using Xcode. It is a Universal application which should run under OS X on either PowerPC or Intel based Macintosh computers. Im unable to test on an Intel Mac, let me know of problems.
