EV Nova Resource Editing Classes 1 is a freeware including REALbasic Classes and Modules for producing your EV Nova Plugin editor. The classes allow you to read and write the nova resources via the use of templates.

EV: Nova Override 1.0.2 is a classic game published by Ambrosia. It is as a Carbon application that you can play on Mac OS X. EV: Override is Ambrosia's follow-up to the classic space adventure game, Escape Velocity. You are cast as a pioneering space captain with only a small shuttle craft, a bit of money, and a sense of adventure. Make money running cargo across the universe in order to buy a better spacecraft, or undertake dangerous rescue missions on enemy worlds. Ported by Ambrosia, w00tWare and Michael Judkins, the re-releases run through the improved game engine of EV: Nova; you can now join the rebellion on Mac OS X or battle the Voinians on Windows, all the while benefit from the advances, additions and refinements of Nova's engine.

EV: Override is Ambrosia's huge follow up to the classic Escape Velocity. With an immersive story and universe created by Peter Cartwright, a new conflict begins to unfold. Override features a universe five times the size of the original game, and a slew of populated worlds within. Winning critical battles can change the face of the universe, or, if you're happy with the existing balance of power, you can make a living as a humble trader. Just watch out for those pesky renegades, who want nothing more than to swipe the precious cargo from your holds. Additionally, the game contains stunning new graphics and sound, over 250 new missions, a multitude of human and alien governments, and all the excitement of the original EV game.

These releases require a registered version of Nova to use, but being drag & drop they are simpler to install than a cloaking device! The great news is they are free, making registering Nova now an even better deal than before, 3 epic titles for the price of one! All the credits you save should go towards that first laser cannon!!

Rezilla is a resource forks editor for the Macintosh. It lets you edit, create, modify, duplicate, remove resources contained in any fork (data fork or resource fork), copy, cut and paste them from a resource map to the other, drag and drop resources etc.
It comes equipped with an hexadecimal editor. Resource maps can be exported in text, HTML, XML or DeRez formats. Rezilla can also compare two resource maps.
Main features:
- it lets you edit, create, modify, duplicate, remove resources contained in any fork (data fork or resource fork), copy, cut and paste them from a resource map to the other, drag and drop resources etc.
- it comes equipped with an Hexadecimal Editor and a Template Editor. The template editor ships with no less than 385 predefined templates and lets you add more.
- Rezilla has several dedicated editors:
- a Text Editor to edit TEXT and styl resources
- a Bitmap Editor to edit any of the following types: cicn, crsr, CURS, icl4, icl8, icm#, icm4, icm8, ICN#, ICON, ics#, ics4, ics8, PAT#, PAT , ppat, SICN
- an Unicode Editor to edit utxt resources containing Unicode data in UTF-16 encoding form
- an Aete Editor to edit AppleScript terminology resources (resources with type aete or aeut). It can generate Scripting Definition files (sdef) and export to Xml, DeRez, Html, and Text formats. It can also import an aete from an Xml file.
- a Pict Viewer to visualize, copy, cut and paste PICT resources
- a Sound Player to play snd resources
- a Menu Editor (which supports xmnu menu extension resources)
- complete scriptability to drive Rezilla from AppleScript scripts
- Rezilla can export resource maps in text, HTML, XML or DeRez formats
- Rezilla can compare two resource maps.
- various values and properties can be set via the Preferences.
Enhancements:
- a string lists editor which lets you edit resources of type STR#, MBAR, Mcmd, RidL. This editor has drag and drop capacity and makes it easy to add or remove items in the lists.
- a few minor fixes
- and, for those interested in compiling Rezilla from source, the source distribution includes project files for XCode 1.5 and XCode 2.1 (Rezilla is still built with CodeWarrior though).

Nova Paint 1.0 is a highly-efficient, high-quality utility which will take a color specified either as RGB percentages or by the apple color picker and give back the value used for the ModVal value for Paint outfits in Escape Velocity: Nova by AmbrosiaSW.

EVUltra is a plugin for Ambrosia Softwares (and Matt Burchs) Escape Velocity. One of the more interesting and addictive shareware games to take the stage circa 1996-97. If you hadnt guessed by [that] date this software is for older MacOS computers (when MacOS X and the very first bondi iMac had only then been announced), so this package will really only be of interest to people who are still getting by on a computer from that era (and still playing the game) or who simply like to collect this kind of stuff for nostalgia reasons. If you are such a person then I am happy to have re-released the plugin for you again.

EV Ultra adds the follwoing enhancements:

• New Graphics: Replaces all existing ship, station, and planet sprites, and more. As well as new graphics for new items in the plug-in.
• New Missions: Around 60 new missions to undertake. Save the galaxy and rack up the credits...
• New Systems: Over 100 new systems to explore.
• New Ships: 15 all new ships. Some are available to the player and some are not. Also there a few additional versions of existing ships.
• New Weapons: 16 new weapons. Again some are available to player and some are not.
• New Aliens: 2 new Alien governments.

EV Ultra continues right where the original EV left off. Just drop it into the plug-ins folder of EV. EV Ultra does not replace the existing EV Universe it simply expands upon it. To access the new missions and systems in EV Ultra you must complete the Rebel/Confed alien missions first.

You do not have to start a new pilot file. EV Ultra will work fine with existing EV pilots (if they have no weapons or ships from other 3rd part plugs).
