A Setting Sun plugin, which is called a Fader, is essentially a screen saver. GeoMetrix was inspired by some of the first screen savers to appear on the Macintosh. GeoMetriX is freeware.
You are not allowed, however, to charge for it or use it commercially without explicit written permission from the author. This fader was inpsired by some of the first screen savers on old 680x0 Macs. In the latest version, you can select how many points and trails the shapes have as well as how fast the color changes and whether or not the old shapes get erased, which when turned off creates amazing patterns on screen.

Fractality 0.6 is a very tractable and powerful sound tool. One of the ultimate time-wasting applications, Fractality is a toy and/or tool for creating polygonal fractals. Like geometric fractals, polygonal fractals are repetitive patterns following certain mathematical algorithms. Yet polygonal fractals are simpler, usually more symmetric, and often much more beautiful. They follow repeating patterns of simple algorithmic commands, and are essentially geometric shapes repeating on themselves over and over again.
Fractality is an original tool made to create and manipulate almost every aspect of these fractals. In Fractality, you have easy control over basic controls, like the number of iterations or the size of the fractal, and over precise iterative controls, like the angle of rotation per iteration, or the ability to cut off certain fingers. In addition, for beautification purposes, you have control over the color of the fractal, from beginning to end and even how fast the transition is.

Although not exactly a resource fork class drop-in replacement, it comes fairly close.
The code was written for my purposes, so you may find some holes, but it is possible to do quite a bit.

QuickTime Deployment Kit 2.0 is such an essential program that provides a set of free cross platform, cross browser files including both HTML and QuickTime movies which check for the QuickTime plugin and QuickTime version before loading a target page.
This is essentially an implentation of the Quicktime detection method outlined in the book, "QuickTime for the Web", with a few extra bells and whistles. If it fails to detect Javascript it gives them an error and instructions for turning on JavaScript in a variety of browsers (needed for checking for the plug-in), if it doesn't find the plug-in or doesn't find the correct version, it directs them to download it from Apple's site and provides a link.
Requirements:
- It should work with any website and just about any browser.
- FireFox, and Internet Exporer on both Mac and Windows machines.
- QuickTime Pro is required for changing and saving the annotations.

I use this little app to translate mailto links to ASCII so that they are essentially hidden from address harvesting bots used by spammers. Although this technique doesnt end all spam, it does help reduce the volume.

CPU Director allows you to view and configure the cache and processor clock speed settings on your PowerLogix upgrade card. The included utilities allow you to enable or disable the cache "on the fly", change the speed at which your backside cache operates and automatically enable the cache at this speed at boot time.
If your upgrade uses an IBM 750FX or 750GX processor, you can also change the processor clock speed "on the fly" as well as the speed at which to set the processor when rebooting. There are also options to disable speculative access (a problem with OldWorld machines that originally did not ship with a G3 or G4 processor) and enable dynamic power management.
Finally, if your upgrade uses multiple-processors, and you are running Mac OS X, you can view and change these settings on a per-processor basis.
Installation Instructions
To install CPU Director, simply drag the CPU Director folder onto your hard drive. It is recommended that you drag it into your /Applications/ folder, however you may place it anywhere you want on the drive.
You must drag the entire CPU Director folder to your hard drive, not just the application itself. Double-click the CPU Director application to launch it, and the software will automatically install its various components.
In order to install the software under Mac OS X, an administrator password is required, because a KEXT and Startup Item need to be installed. No reboot is required - you may proceed to use CPU Director immediately.
Initial Configuration
Once you have successfully installed CPU Director, you should configure your cache settings as appropriate for your upgrade card. To make changes under Mac OS X, you must click on the security lock icon in the upper right-hand corner of the window so that it becomes unlocked.
For security reasons, you will be prompted for an administrator password in order to change any settings. Under Mac OS 9, no special authentication is required.
Now, configure your upgrade card settings, essentially choosing an appropriate ratio, whether to enable/disable speculative access, whether to enable dynamic power management and, for 750FX/750GX upgrades, what PLL settings you wish to use.

It does not upload information nor does it allow information to be imported into it ? you need to manually key in the information yourself.
The database may not do some of the things which other eBay Auction Managers do (at a price) but I designed it for my own personal use after not being able to find a solution that was worthy of the fee asked which also did not insist upon quoting all things in US dollars. Essentially this is a database I wrote for myself and I'm distributing it here just in case someone else will find it of use.
