Virtual ][ lets you play the old Apple games, because it supports all graphics modes, lets you control the game paddles with a USB game pad or mouse and emulates the internal speaker. When you want to temporarily interrupt gameplay, Virtual ][ allows you to save the entire virtual machine, and continue later on from where you left off.
But Virtual ][ also supports more "serious" software, because it emulates many peripheral devices: floppy disk, hard disk, mouse, serial port, matrix printer, even cassette tape! It also emulates the Z80A processor, allowing you to run the CP/M operating system.
And for the technically inclined: you can configure the machine by "inserting" and "removing" emulated peripheral cards, change the CPU speed, or even install your own emulated character generator ROM. The "Inspector" feature allows you to closely observe the behavior of the emulated machine and debug Apple II programs.
If you have original diskettes and a working Apple II, Virtual ][ can help you convert the diskettes to the Macintosh, even if they are "copy protected".
The program automatically indexes all Apple II disk images on your Mac, so you can find an Apple II file instantly, by entering its name.
You can download an evaluation version and try the program first. If you like the program, you can buy a license and fully enjoy the nostalgic fun of the old Apple ][ computer.
Virtual ][ requires Mac OS X 10.4 or better.

ipodedit is a free and open source command line program for editing resources in the iPod firmware. ipodedit has been originally inspired by the iPodWizard program.
However, ipodedit is a result of the authors reverse engineering and works quite differently from the current iPodWizard so it should not be taken as a replacement for iPodWizard.

WARNING: Use this at your own risk. This app is not for those who shudder at using the command line. If you cannot compile this program yourself, then you probably should not be using this!
NOTE: To build ipodedit from sources open a Terminal window, navigate to the folder where you have saved ipodedit.c and enter the following command (without quotes): "gcc ipodedit.c -o ipodedit". After this you can launch the program by entering: "./ipodedit".

With Branding Iron, you can mark your files and get the most out of Spotlight and Smart Folders. Imagine you want to label a dozen of files as belonging to "Project Brinkman". The traditional way to organize them is to put them in a folder called Project Brinkman But now, with Branding Iron and Spotlight, you can just mark them, store them in whatever folder or hard disk (for example, by category : Accounting, Budget, Engineering, Artworks, ...) and then create a Smart Folder called "Project Brinkman". Automagically, your files will be here. You can move them, modify them, rename them. They will be marked forever.
