Finders Friend X 1.0
Finders Friend X - Quit or restart Finder to free up some memory more>>
Ever run processor intensive programs such as emulators (ie. Virtual PC or SNES9X) and games? Well if you dont have a spiffy new imac or a lightening fast blue and white tower and you arent getting the performance that you want from these applications, then quitting the Finder may help improve your speed. When you quit the Finder you will notice that the finder is no longer available in the active application menu in the top right corner of the screen and you cannot simply click the desktop to make it return. I can hear you asking "How do get my Finder back?" Fear not my friend, simply quit all open applications and the Finder will return.
I offer no guarantees with this script to how much performance you will gain. I also take no responsibility for any damage it may cause. I use this script quite frequently on my own mac and have never encountered a single serious problem since its creation.

Finder's Friend X 1.0
Finders Friend provides users with an easy-to-use product which is not quite as useful as the 1.5.1 more>>
Finder's Friend X 1.0 provides users with an easy-to-use product which is not quite as useful as the 1.5.1 version since you can restart the finder by the force quit command. You can still quit the finder though which could be useful!
Have you ever had a message appear that says "Not enough memory..." yada yada yada when you don't have any applications launched? Well sometimes when you quit a program for some reason the memory that was previously being used by the program gets locked up. This means that the computer still thinks you have a program using the memory and keeps you from accessing it. Restarting the Finder can cure this problem in seconds. Once you restart the finder it will likely recognize that no programs are using said memory and will free it up.

Well if you don't have a spiffy new imac or a lightening fast blue and white tower and you aren't getting the performance that you want from these applications, then quitting the Finder may help improve your speed. MAME OS X 0.117-1
MAME OS X - a native OS X port of the popular MAME emulator more>>
MAME OS X is a powerful tool designed to take advantage of all the latest OS X technologies, like Core VIdeo and Core Image.
MAME OS X does not come with the game software. To play the games you must obtain the game software, called ROMs, because the are images from the ROM chips of the original machine. Keep in mind that most ROMs are still covered by the manufacturers copyright.
Please respect this and only use ROMs that you actually own hardware for. MAME OS X looks for ROMs in:
${HOME}/Application Support/MAME OS X/ROMs
Once you have ROMs, you can run the game by entering the game name in the dialog box. Game names are short, 8 characters or less. To see a list of possible game names, run the ROM Audit tool from the "Tools > ROM Audit" menu.

The toolkit used to develop the Macintosh port, including the bridge code to link it to Nestopia, will be available in the longer term from my developer pages.
Certain portions are available now, and more will be added in the future. Further information is also available from the enclosed Read Me file.
