Eclipse SDK 3.5 is designed as a useful open source software development project which aims at providing a robust, full-featured, commercial-quality, industry platform for the development of highly integrated tools.
The Eclipse project is composed of three subprojects, Platform, Java development tools (JDT), and Plug-in development environment (PDE). The Eclipse Platform is an open extensible IDE for anything and yet nothing in particular. It allows tool builders to independently develop tools that integrate with other people's tools so seamlessly you can't tell where one tool ends and another starts.
The JDT project provides the tool plug-ins that implement a full-featured Java IDE supporting the development of any Java application, providing refactoring support, incremental compilation, smart editing etc. The JDT project allows Eclipse to be a development environment for itself. The PDE project provides the mechanisms that enable the community to build plug-ins for eclipse.
The Eclipse SDK includes the Eclipse Platform, Java development tools, and Plug-in Development Environment, including source and both user and programmer documentation.

- Modeller scripts are now more like real Python scripts; the PYTHONPATH environment variable is honored, and additional command line arguments can be given to your scripts (accessible as sys.argv).
- Bug fix for alignment.segment_matching(): correct alignment scores are now written.
- Support for AMD64 and EM64T (Opteron/Xeon64) Linux machines.
- DOPE model assessment now returns only the DOPE energy itself by default, ignoring other energy terms.
- Bug fix for model.restraints.pick() when used with absolute position restraints; always allow 1-atom restraints to pass the residue_span_range check.

Solar Eclipse Calculator 1.0.6 is an excellent widget designed for Mac OS users. It is actually used to compute the local circumstances of any solar eclipse from 1970 to 2099. It is localized in English, French and Chinese.
In order to use it first select an eclipse from the top popup menu, then enter the latitude and longitude coordinates and altitude of your observation location before clicking on the "Calculate Eclipse Circumstances" button. Times are given in Universal Time (UT), but you can select the time zone to have the local time.
The world map at the bottom right will show your location as a red cross and the links at the bottom left will let you access interactive Google Maps or Google Earth files of the eclipse.
