Sorry, due to a new EU directive (the EUCD, the European equivalent to the American DMCA) I have to stop distributing and developing iRipDVD as this program would make it possible to produce private backup copies of copy-protected DVDs.

Nevertheless you can download the source-code from here in case you live in a country where humans still have more rights, and you want to continue development of this application.

Copy folder tree is an AppleScript that duplicates a folder structure from a selected node into another selected folder.
It will optionally copy or move files of certain types that it finds in the process.

I wrote this for a specifc purpose*, but hopefully the ideas can be used to suit similar needs. I was helped along by scripts posted here by Dan Decker and Robert Metzker, so I thought Id share the results.

*My particular need was to duplicate the folder structure of my iTunes Music Library into a spot where it would get backed up, but not copy the music files themselves. What I wanted to back up were the image files I had found/created, and in the process remove them from the library, since they didnt seem to "belong" there.

DVD Stopper has only a small change to the loop movie applet that comes with DVD Player 3.1. Instead of looping the movie when it reaches the end, it stops the DVD Player. I made it cause I watch some DVDs and fall asleep while they play and then am awakened by some of the nightmarish loops that are used for menus.

Andrews Disk Copy Scripts is a set of three scripts for Disk Copy which allow you to access the segmenting features (i.e. for floppies) in the Disk Copy application and to archive floppy disks.

Completly freeware for personal use.

Copy Playlist to Card copies the tracks of the selected playlist in iTunes and an .m3u file for it to a flash memory card or music player that is mounted on the desktop. The script will offer to trim to fit and/or erase the Audio folder if there is not enough room on the card.
The script was specifically designed for use with Aeroplayer on PalmOS, but should support any player or memory card that is mountable as a disk on the desktop - note that slight modification of the script may be necessary for use with other players, as outlined in the included read me file.
Copy Playlist to Card also numbers the copied tracks to preserve the playlist order alphabetically for players that dont support m3u playlist files, and bumps the played count and date which is useful for smart playlists. Most features are optional - see the read me for info on how to set options.
Enhancements:
- Fixed possible error while clearing old folder on card/player.
- Fixed installer package error strings file.

Andrew's Disk Copy Scripts 2.1.1 are potential and easy to use scripts which allow you to access Disk Copy's segmenting and self-mounting image features. They were developed with the help of Apple BEFORE Apple released its own set of similar scripts...after seeing how well mine were doing.
