StyledTextToRecord is an AppleScript that enables you to convert styled text to a record and viceversa.

This is a compiled AppleScript, a handler (or framework, if you prefer so) called "StyledTextToRecord" which will accept styled text as input and will return as output a record containing pertinent info about bolds, colors, font sizes, etc. of such text.

It also provides a handler for the reverse function called "RecordToStyledText". It accepts as input a record formated as returned by "StyledTextToRecord".
There are included two little samples. The first one will convert styled text to basic HTML. The second one will convert styled text to plain text, except for bolds.

Requirements:
Mac OS X 10.2.5 or later, Apple iTunes 4.0 or later.

Enhancements:
Version 1.0b1 adds the following:

• fixed icon
• no longer relies on clipboard, so shouldnt affect other apps
• no longer uses so much processor
• more efficient memory usage
• able to detect when there is no art and when itunes not playing
