DSVariables is a FileMaker Pro plugin designed for versions 4.0 to 6.0 and works in 68k, PowerPC, Carbon, and Mac OS X environments. The purpose of the plugin is to allow the database designer to dynamically use live variables in their scripts in order to pass parameters between them. This will eliminate the need for global fields and will work between scripts in different databases.

It has been tested in a real world accounting and inventory system and was used to collapse multiple scripts that called each other back and forth to complete a task between two databases into a single pair where one script set up all needed variables and the other script simply read the values and performed the required work.
