Dejal Time Out 1.5.5

Dejal Time Out 1.5.5

Dejal Time Out is really an essential program which will gently remind you to take a break on a regular basis. more>>

Dejal Time Out 1.5.5 is really an essential program which will gently remind you to take a break on a regular basis.

Major Features:

  1. Time Out has two kinds of breaks: a "Normal" break, typically for 10 minutes after 50 minutes of work, so you can move about and relax, plus a "Micro" break: a very brief pause of typically 10 seconds every 10 minutes, so you can remember not to tense up too much for long periods. You can disable either kind of break if desired, and the breaks are automatically paused when you go away from your computer, and can be reset when you come back.
  2. You can configure how long each kind of break lasts, and how long between breaks. Each Time Out is announced via the screen slowly dimming, with related graphics materializing, and when the break is complete, it fades out again. You can change the time these transitions take... and you can even change the color and the level of transparency during the break. So if you like, you can make it mostly transparent so you can continue reading while on your break... though it's better for you if you give your eyes a rest during the Time Out.
  3. While in a break, a progress bar shows how long till it is over, and buttons are available to postpone or skip the break if you can't be interrupted right then. Starting with version 1.5, you can change the number of minutes for the postpone buttons, or even hide them and/or the skip button, if you want to encourage yourself to take the breaks.
  4. What's more, you can optionally play a sound and even run an Automator workflow, AppleScript, Python script, or application at the start and/or end of each break. So you can have it pause iTunes and play a short soothing piece of music at the start of a break, then a buzzer and resume iTunes when the break is over. Some useful scripts are provided built-in, plus updates and user-submitted ones available on the Time Out Extras page.
  5. Rebuild Your Vision: While on a break, you can simply close your eyes or change your focus to rest your eyes. But another option is to try an exercise program to actively improve your eyesight. One such set of exercises offered by a third-party company is called Rebuild Your Vision. It includes exercises, guidance, and more to help train your eye muscles. Read more about it if this sounds interesting.

Enhancements: Enhanced Snow Leopard compatibility.

Requirements: Mac OS X 10.4 or later; Universal Binary; Snow Leopard-ready

Tiki Time! 1.0

Tiki Time! 1.0

Tiki Time! - Hawaian icon set more>>
Aloha ladies and gents! Sit back and relax with your favourite toons, a funny flowered shirt and a nice cocktail!

Tiki Time! is an icon set presenting the things that make Hawai so popular.

This icon collection was inspired by a number of things including one of my favorite movies - Joe vs. The Volcano, and the resurgence of Tiki related goods now available at Target. Plus, I just love the whole Tiki look and feel that was made popular in the 50s and 60s.

If you are a big Tiki fan, I would suggest heading over to shag.com and checking out some of the ultra-cool tiki prints that hes done. A tip of the hat goes out to Shag, as there are obvious influences on me in this set.

I would be remiss if I didnt mention that some my favorite tiki memories came from my visits to the Polynesian Resort Hotel in Disney World.

The soothing sounds of tropical birds, water crashing on rocks and the dim glow of the hotels tiki torches all are burned in my memories.

Time Out 1.5.4

Time Out 1.5.4

Time Out is a product helping you to give up the bad habits when using a computer for hours on end. more>>

Time Out 1.5.4 is a product helping you to give up the bad habits when using a computer for hours on end. You care about what you are doing, so can sometimes push yourself too far, or over-strain yourself. The human body isn't built to sit in one position for endless hours, gripping a mouse or typing on the keyboard. Dejal Time Out is here to help. It will gently remind you to take a break on a regular basis.

At the start and/or end of the break, you can optionally play a sound, and even run an Automator workflow, AppleScript, or application.

Time Out is released as Freeware. You are welcome to use it at no cost.

Desktop Icon Manager 2.0

Desktop Icon Manager 2.0

Desktop Icon Manager - Restores icon positions on the desktop more>>
Desktop Icon Manager (DIM) is an AppleScript which saves and restores the icon positions on the desktop. There are applications and other scripts that do the same thing, so why is this one different?

DIM doesnt get confused when you store the icon positions at one screen resolution and then restore them at a different screen resolution. In other words, if an icon is at the bottom right corner of the display when the icon positions are stored then that icon will always be placed at the bottom right corner regardless of the screen resolution. Theres only one application that I know of which does that, but they want money to do it. Other applications/scripts allow you to save multiple icon positions at different screen resolutions. Thats fine if you want to adjust your icon positions for each screen resolution you use. My question is why? You got a Mac sitting in front of you, let her do it.

Desktop Icon Manager 2.0 only works for Mac OS 10.4 and later. For MacOS 7.x through 9.x, one can use Desktop Icon Manager 1.3.1 (see below). There is no version of Desktop Icon Manager that works for Mac OS 10.0 through 10.3.9!

Undo Toolkit 1.3.1

Undo Toolkit 1.3.1

Undo Toolkit - REALbasic toolkit providing unlimited undo/redo more>>
Undo Toolkit allows you to easily add unlimited undo and redo to your REALbasic project. The Toolkit includes window classes that automatically prompt the user to save changes (using a MacOS X sheet window), manage the MacOS X Aqua change flag, enable and handle the FileSave, EditUndo and EditRedo menu items, and support unlimited levels of undo with unlimited numbers of controls.
Undo Toolkit supports application-wide or window-specific undo -- you can choose the undo solution thats right for your project -- and provides customizable language constants for multi-lingual apps.
Enhancements:
- [New] UndoStack: When calling a controls Undo method, now moves the controls window to the foreground, and if necessary sets the value of the controls TabPanel or PagePanel to make the control visible.
- [Fix] UndoStack: Fixed a bug where the "dirty" boolean was improperly set FALSE if the user performed an action while there were no actions to redo.
- [Fix] Application-wide Undo: Added documentation about menu handling code needed in the App.EnableMenuItems event.
- [Fix] UndoableEditField: Now captures the styles of text dragged into an UndoableEditField from another application, instead of just capturing the text.
- [Kis] UndoableEditField: The StyledText object associated with text dragged or copied from another application will have incorrect color settings and will not honor the bold setting, due to a bug in REALbasic itself (Feedback ID: jrnziewx). This will become visible after undoing and redoing the insertion of styled text.
- [Fix] UndoableEditField: Fixed a bug where an undo or redo could change the style settings of a non-styled UndoableEditField.
- [Fix] UndoableEditField: The Modified event no longer fires when pressing the backspace key while the cursor is at position zero.
- [Fix] UndoableEditField: Now checks whether StyledText = nil instead of relying on the value of the styled property, which apparently returns TRUE when it shouldnt under certain (not yet isolated) conditions in a compiled Windows app.
- [Fix] Compiler: Removed some REALbasic 5.5-specific syntax (e.g., "dim x as new y") for better compatibility with REALbasic 5.0 and higher.
- [Chg] Debugging Tools: Renamed UndoStackDisplay to UndoStackViewer.
- [New] Debugging Tools: Added the StyledTextViewer class, which displays the contents of a StyledText object. You can click on a StyledText object in the UndoStackViewer to display its contents.
