Digital cameras attach information to each photo you take. This information - called EXIF data - contains the time-stamp, aperture and shutter time amongst other things.

This is inconvenient for a number of reasons, but most of all the fact that iPhoto caches all this data in its Library file resulting in slower operation after each new import of photos. This application will seamlessly clean your photos of extraneous exif data prior to importing into iPhoto.

HDTV Converter 1.5.0 is a professional and comprehensive software that allows you to convert digital camera pictures, which have been edited in photo editors, such as Photoshop, back into a format that will be accepted by:
- Photo players, such as the Panasonic HDTV Photo Player
- HDTVs with built-in memory card sockets.
- Digital photo frames of all sizes.
- Allows you to convert JPG or TIFF images, which were created from camera RAW files, into a DCF compatible format, which is required by many HDTVs and digital photo frames.
- Allows you to convert JPG or TIFF images, which were created by film scanners, into a DCF compatible format, which is required by many by HDTVs and digital photo frames.
- Converts digital camera images into one of four formats:
- HDTV - full-screen 16:9 format meeting 1920x1080 HDTV requirements.
- HDTV vertical or horizontal letter-boxed 16:9 wide-screen format retaining the aspect-ratio of original image.
- Original image size is retained without decoding and re-encoding the JPEG image data, but DCF conformance is restored.

- Images created by high-quality digital cameras, such as DSLRs, contain many more pixels than can be displayed on a high-definition TV or digital photo frame. If you copy these camera images onto a memory card for use in a HDTV photo player, the large files will fill up the card rapidly, but contribute nothing to the image quality. And unless your camera has the capability to take images in the 16:9 format, and you have used that format, your images will not even fill the screen. The HDTV Converter will convert these camera images into the more efficient 16:9 aspect ratio, 1820x1080 pixel HDTV format.
- The conversion can be done one image at a time, or in batch mode with up to 400 images per batch.
- Convert unedited images from your camera into a 16:9 aspect ratio 1920x1080 pixel letter-boxed or non-letter-boxed HDTV format.
Enhancements:
- The HDTV Converter has been updated to a 64-bit application, and is optimized for Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6). As such, version 1.5.0 only works with OS X 10.6. For earlier systems, please download one of the appropriate versions of the HDTV Converter.
