The standard MacOS screenshot FKEYS (command-shift-3 and command-shift-4) place the Picture files they create at the top level of the hard drive. The screenshot code supports what appears to be an undocumented but intentional method of re-directing them to any folder. Desktop Screenshots uses that undocumented feature to re-direct screenshot files to the desktop of the boot volume, the volume with the active System Folder.
