Delete Files Now 1.2 is designed as a smart and useful plug-in for the Contextual Menu Manager in Mac OS 8. When you control-click on any file or selection of files in the Finder, either a Delete File Now or Delete Selection Now menu item will appear in the contextual menu's pop-up box. Choose this item to immediately delete files without having to put them in the Trash. This saves you the additional step of emptying the trash to free up memory.

Fast Delete 1.0 is created as an AppleScript with the ability to automatically move a file to the trash and delete it. Apply Fast Delete to a function key, and choose your trash! It's much quicker than selecting what you want to delete, then typing command-delete, waiting for it to move to the trash, and then typing command-shift-delete. It's so lengthy compared to the automation that Fast Delete gives you.

Beacause you obviously cant just lanch it, please read the readme for instructions, precautions, and known issues with this program.
Force Delete a single file or folder: Select a file or folder on your computer and click the icon in your dock or Finder toolbar. A dialog should pop up asking you if youre sure you want to delete the file or folder and giving you the Unix path. Read this message and make sure that it is the file or folder you wish to delete, especially in the column view where file/folder selections are sketchy. If you decide to go through with it a dialog will pop up asking you to enter you administrator password. Type it in and press OK. The file/folder will be deleted. It may take the Finder a moment to realize that it is gone but you didnt receive an error, it is.

BBEdit has a great feature called Close & Delete, which is available when you hold down Shift and view the File menu. In BBEdit 7.0 and later, the utility of this time-saving feature is greatly diminished because BBEdit asks if youre sure that you want to delete the file.
This script restores the old behavior of the command. If you delete the file by accident, you can always recover it from the trash can.
