MenuPics 1.4.0 is a beneficial and easy to use program which will allow you to easily change the appearance of the Menu Extras that appear in the top right corner of the screen. Geokit makes it easy to build location-based apps. Geokit provides geocoding, location finders, and distance calculation in an easy-to-use API.
If you have any tables with latitude/longitude columns in your database, or if you every wanted to easily query for "all the stores within a 50 mile radius," then Geokit is for you.
Geokit consists of a Rails plugin (geokit-rails) and a Gem (geokit-gem). You will be able to use the gem separately. The plugin requires the gem.

Main features:
- Distance calculations between two points on the earth. Calculate the distance in miles or KM, with all the trigonometry abstracted away by Geokit.
- ActiveRecord distance-based finders. For example, you can find all the points in your database within a 50-mile radius.
- Geocoding from multiple providers. It currently supports Google, Yahoo, Geocoder.us, Genames, and Geocoder.ca geocoders, and it provides a uniform response structure from all of them. It also provides a fail-over mechanism, in case your input fails to geocode in one service.
- IP-based location lookup utilizing hostip.info. Provide an IP address, and get city name and latitude/longitude in return.
- A before_filter helper to geocode the users location based on IP address, and retain the location in a cookie.

The AmazonPedia widget allows you to search every Amazon site for Books, DVDs, CDs and Games, as well as giving you access to all your pedias at once. Along with the search results, the widget will tell you about the status of an item - whether you own it, if its on your wish list or if somebody borrowed it and when its due back.
And thanks to the powerful search that combines all of the pedias into one, you dont have to switch back and forth between applications anymore when looking for an entry.
Search results
From the top bar of the widget, choose what youd like to search for in Amazon - Books, DVDs, CDs or Games - or whether youd like to do a local search of the Pedias. Then enter a keyword into the search field and hit return. On the backside of the widget you can choose which Amazon site youd like to search (US, Canada, UK, Germany, France or Japan) and how youd like the search to be sorted. You can also choose which Pedias to include in your localized search.
