TypeTrainer4Mac is a nice, freeware typing tutor for Mac OS X. It is easy to use and supports European (ISO), American (ANSI) and Japanese (JIS) keyboards.
External plain text files can be connected to the application as additional exercises.

Freemind is mind mapping software. You can use it for writing essays or conducting experiments. It is also useful for finances, projects, and just organizing your thoughts and plans.
Main features:
- Keeping track of projects, including subtasks, state of subtasks and time recording
- Project workplace, including links to necessary files, executables, source of information and of course information
- Workplace for internet research using Google and other sources
- Keeping a collection of small or middle sized notes with links on some area which expands as needed. Such a collection of notes is sometimes called knowledge base.

KinkyLoop is a sound file player that supports real-time effects.
With KinkyLoop you can play the sound files simultaneously (up to 8 files), and change their pitch and volume.

BSNES has a somewhat different purpose to most emulators; it focuses on accuracy over performance. To that end, it does not include any game specific hacks, or idle-loop skipping optimizations commonly found in other emulators. To add to the fun, it uses a cycle accurate hardware emulation.
The net result of all this is the highest system requirements of any emulator available for Mac ; those without a G5 class machine need not apply. If you meet the requirements, however, this is the most accurate SNES emulation available on the Macintosh platform.
