Around the time that Apple released the first couple of screenshots of Mac OS X I did a quick sketch. It didnt take long, it was nothing special. But the thought occured that Id like to build it in 3D and walk around it in realtime.

I set about searching for tools which would allow me to do that, but nothing existed which didnt require a bunch of science and math qualifications – until 2 weeks ago when I stumbled across Unity.

The first thing I did on downloading the Unity demo was dig out that old sketch – its not about the sketch or its contents; its about the fact that finally there is a Mac tool which is exactly what I had hoped to find all those years ago.

This widget displays the Word of the Day from dictionary.com, including the words definition, pronunciation, and part of speech, along with a sentence using the word and a link to more information about the word
