Got two Macs? Got one hooked up to speakers? Want to use iTunes to play music instead of CDs, but dont want to attach a keyboard and mouse to your stereo? Use this handy little app to control the iTunes on the stereo from any other Mac on the network. Now with a rudimentary jukebox function to use at parties.
nTunes is a little network iTunes remote control script for Mac OS X
Note: to use the app you have to tailor it to your system. It should be easy, it just involves altering an Applescript in two places. There are instructions in each version.
Enhancements:
- It was created in XCode 2.0 in OS X 10.4.3. That might mean its a universal binary, so it might work on the forthcoming Intel Macs... but Im not really sure about that, and am too lazy to find out definitively.
- It also gives the app a metal theme rather than the old Aqua one. Lots of people hate metal, but nTunes is supposed to mimic a physical remote control that you hold in your hand, so the theme is appropriate. I also happen to think it looks better in this particular app, and I like that you can drag the app around from any part of it rather than just from the title bar.
- The shuffle toggle and volume bar are even more responsive in this version; both will change to reflect the music servers actual state whenever you click one of the other buttons (e.g. if you change the volume in some other manner, you can make nTuness volume bar reflect the current actual volume by simply pausing and unpausing the music).
- Last but not least, Ive added a whole new crapload of code to create a jukebox function. Its crude but it works.

ixiQuarks is a software environment designed for live improvisation that allows for user interaction on hardware, GUI and code level. The environment enables innumerable setups with flexible loading of tools and instruments. The ixiQuarks consist of different types of tools: basic utilities, instruments, effects, filters and generators.

ixiQuarks exist in 3 different forms: ixiQuarks, ixiQuarks Pro and ixiQuarks as Quarks library for SuperCollider. (ixiQuarks are written in the SuperCollider programming language). For non-programmers, we recommend ixiQuarks, for people that like experimenting with programming and write their own instruments as part of ixiQuarks, we recommend ixiQuarks Pro. For SuperCollider users, we simply recommend installing the ixiQuarks from the repository.

The ixiQuarks tools are divided into the following categories: basic utilities, instruments, effects and filters. These tools all manipulate audio on audio channels and the idea is that the user routes audio from one tool to another, like connecting guitar effect pedals together.

There are 52 Audio Channels by default, but that can be changed easily in the preference file. The sound channel can be stereo or mono defined by the radio buttons on the bottom of the quarks browser.

The quarks browser will show the respective categories with lines in between. By pressing the open button or hitting Return you open the tool.

Many of the instruments in ixiQuarks support Wacom tablet (for pressure) so we recommend trying it out with a tablet. We are working on support for any hardware interface for the instruments.

Codice Fiscale widget does the calculation of the Italian Codice Fiscale.

EZConstrain is a tool that creates a floating palette through which you can easily view, change, and reset the constrain angle, without having to go through the general preferences dialog.

STScripting framework is an abstraction/spin-off of code from two other Subsume Technologies projects: AgentD and its own spin-off, GenericMain. It isolates most of the code that is useful in converting between strings and objects or C values.

While its feature set is still focussed on the needs of command line messaging, we intend to expand the framework to make it much more useful as a scripting language. WebScript its not, but sometimes you dont need that level of overkill.
