CmapTools 4.10
CmapTools - Construct/navigate/share knowledge models as concept maps more>>
It allows users to, among many other features, construct their Cmaps in their personal computer, share them on servers (CmapServers) anywhere on the Internet, link their Cmaps to other Cmaps on servers, automatically create web pages of their concept maps on servers, edit their maps synchronously (at the same time) with other users on the Internet, and search the web for information relevant to a concept map.
The CmapTools client is free for use by anybody, whether its use is commercial or non-commercial. In particular, schools and universities are encouraged to download it and install it in as many computers as desired, and students and teachers may make copies of it and install it at home.
(Commercial companies that install their own CmapServer do need to get a separate license for a CmapTools client that will talk to the commercial version of the CmapServer).

GHC 6.10.1
Free and open source compiler for the functional language Haskell more>> Free and open source compiler for the functional language Haskell
GHC is a state-of-the-art, open source, compiler and interactive environment for the functional language Haskell.
NOTE: GHC is licensed and released under the The Glasgow Haskell Compiler License.
Main features:
- GHC supports the entire Haskell 98 language plus a wide variety of extensions.
- GHC generates fast code, particularly for concurrent programs. Why not take a look at GHCs performance on The Computer Language Shootout Bechmarks, and some comments on Haskell by the current organiser of the shootout, Brent Fulgham.
- GHC works on several platforms including Mac OS X, Windows and most varieties of Unix, and several different processor architectures. There are detailed instructions for porting GHC to a new platform.
- GHC has extensive optimisation capabilities, including inter-module optimisation.
- GHC compiles Haskell code either by using an intermediate C compiler (GCC), or by generating native code on some platforms. The interactive environment compiles Haskell to bytecode, and supports execution of mixed bytecode/compiled programs.
- Profiling is supported, both by time/allocation and various kinds of heap profiling.
- GHC comes with a wide range of libraries.
System requirements:
- Apples Xcode (for compiling the distribution)
MKConsole 1.10
MKConsole - This is a little application that displays logfiles on your desktop more>>
In its standard configuration it displays entries from any number of logfiles interleaved in a single window. Have a look at some screenshots.
MkConsole is smart enough to close and reopen files every now and then to deal with rotating files and it transparently works around stale NFS handles which often exist after your Mac wakes up from sleep and tries to read from a logfile mounted via NFS.
If you dont mind hacking the user defaults (rather than using the preferences panel) you can also configure multiple windows with multiple logifiles each.
Enhancements:
- Disconnected screens no longer leave logfile windows invisible, but instead such windows will be moved to a visible part of the remaining screen(s).
- In case the network configuration changes (i.e. via selecting a different location), logfiles are being reopened.
- Finally, theres a new default for suppressing alert windows which pop up in case logfiles couldnt be opened (which might happen after network disconnects).
