Crypt 1.2
Crypt brings full re-branding functionality to encrypt/decrypt files. more>>
Crypt 1.2 brings full re-branding functionality to encrypt/decrypt files. It uses RC-4 (128-bit) encryption technology, which is the same as what most secure web sites use. Encrypted files have the .crypt suffix appended to the file name. Crypt is free and very powerful. It uses open source (OpenSSL) technology and can be used to encrypt/decrypt as many files as you want in a single command.
Crypt script 1.1
Crypt script - Script command to encrypt/decrypt files more>>
Crypt is free and very powerful. It uses open source (OpenSSL) technology and can be used to encrypt/decrypt as many files as you want in a single command.
Enhancements:
- Adds a shred option (-s) to secure delete files instead of just the standard remove command. The shred will overwrite the file 25 times then add a final overwrite with zeros to hide the shredding. Finally it removes the file after shredding.
- The remove (-r) option is still available.

Stuff 'n' Crypt 1.0.1 is a very flexible and effective tool with which you just drag anything (files, folders, or aliases) onto this icon and it will create a surrounding folder, stuff them, and tell Mac OS to encrypt them. Mac OS 9's built-in file encryption works great, but unfortunately it only works on single files. This program can't change that, but it does make it easier to deal with! Nice and simple.
MacKrack 1.5.3
MacKrack is created to be a smart password hash brute forcer which works with the Crypt, MD5 SHA-1, and Salted SHA-1 algorithms. more>> MacKrack 1.5.3 is created to be a smart password hash brute forcer which works with the Crypt, MD5 SHA-1, and Salted SHA-1 algorithms. It has two modes: dictionary and keyspace brute force. The brute force mode supports the lowercase alphabet, entire alphabet, and alphanumeric cracking, with a variable maximum password length of 1-10 characters.
- Improved performance and stability
- Fixed bug with text crash
- Mac OS X 10.3 or later.
eDocuments 1.7.1
eDocuments - Import and browse all of your paper documents that you scan into your computer more>>
eDocuments is designed to allow you to browse your documents with ease, focusing on the important information - like the date of the document. When you browse through your documents, all of the attributes will remain intact - scroll bars, maginification, etc.
Scanning:
I would recommend a scan quality of 150 dots per inch: first for the speed of the scan, and second for the quality of the image.
Encryption:
When creating backups of your documents, you might want to use an encryption program like Crypt. You can download Crypt at the following web address.
http://www.dekorte.com/software/osx/Crypt/
Enhancements:
- Recommendation: take your current folders full of scanned images and just drop them on eDocuments main window in order to build your library quickly.
- Drag and drop between folders.
- Drawer window support for folders.
- Select all.
- Software changed to freeware!

ASCIIWeb 1.0.1
ASCIIWeb provides you with a moderately secure algorithm for encrypting text messages for privacy or secure transmission. more>>
ASCIIWeb 1.0.1 provides you with a moderately secure algorithm for encrypting text messages for privacy or secure transmission. Originally the Theta Encryption System, the algorithm was initially designed to secure messages anywhere using a TI-83 calculator. This is the algorithm's third iteration. This version has been modified to enhance compatibility across different computing platforms.
AsciiWeb is loosely based on the Vignere cipher, but with the improvement of using 94 characters instead of 26, as well as iterative encryption with dynamically shifting passphrase. For more information, please see the ASCIIWeb Manual. If you are looking for a good way to generate passphrases to use for encryption programs like this, you can also try RLPassWeb.
Major Features:
- Option of defining random code block for maximum data security
- Automatically creates Natural Language passwords
- No NilObjectClassException errors
- Takes up only 12k of disk space, compared to 500-2000k for quick-crypts and 5.7 MB for PGP
- Accessible from any computer via the Theta Pi Website
- Ability to create restricted web pages without having to use .htaccess
- Full algorithm source code available
- Constantly being updated - if you have a suggestion, I'll try to implement it
