Crazy-8 is one of many Macintosh CHIP8 emulators. Crazy-8 has the distinction of being the first and pretty much only emulator to support the extended CHIP8 spec, SCHIP48. Which begs the question, what the hell is CHIP8?
CHIP8, as it turns out, was a language/virtual machine for computers so old that they outpace me by about 20 years. Freaking ancient. The interesting thing about it was that the programmer would write in the CHIP8 language and then could deploy the compiled program to more than one platform. The machines that I know of that had a CHIP8 interpreter were the TELMAC-1800 (1978) and COSMAC VIP (The COSMAC itself was a rather interesting little thing, dating back to 1977 - VIP stood for Video Interface Processor)
Crazy-8 will read any CHIP8 or SCHIP48 file and play it for you on your Mac. It supports full sound. It supports freeze and defrost. OpenGL mode is disabled currently due to some difficulty supporting it in the language I wrote the emulator in.
Crazy-8 will bring you back to the good old days with the supplied games and you can even peek at the source code. In the end its a novelty of the computing world, but amusing none the less.
You cant say I didnt teach you something today. No go back to your myopic American lifestyle!

Not just cross-platform, Mac to Mac and PC to PC works just as good. Forget MSN, ICQ etc. they always make it difficult somehow with their protocols and different clients. Magnetosphere 0.2b provides you a useful multimedia tool which does stuff in iTunes. There is magnetism, there is gravity, but on top of all of that, there is awesomeness. Watch as all the dots and ribbons go bouncy bouncy when you play music and trigger this mo-fo of a visualizer. This is the future of visuals. By the way, dont go crazy with the A and S keys - they add or subtract a hundred particles at a time - tap once or twice and wait for the results. If it starts acting poorly because you hit a bunch of keys, just quit and restart.

If you have a complex Apache setup and you dont want the auto-installer monkeying with it, I suggest you install manually, skipping things where needed. If youre a regular user and you dont know what this Apache thing is that I keep going on about, dont worry. The installer is for you.

- Several bugs fixed in the PHP (text encoding issues, link issues)
- Installer was throwing out the real Apache config backups if it was run twice. This has been fixed.
- Japanese localization of the installer. Im working on localizing the pages themselves.

- Installer source is now included. Applescript jockeys will enjoy it. Its crazy.
- Numerous other changes (I put sheets in the installer!).
