I couldnt resist putting Pride stripes on a select set of Aloft icons. Few sights cheer me as much as hot air balloons drifting calmly across the sky. What a thrill it would be to see an actual Pride-striped balloon glide by for all to see!

Until I have the opportunity to soar aloft, I shall simply have to scatter balloons across my desktop.

Balloon Helper 1.0 is a very flexible and effective tool which allows you to set your own keyboard shortcut for quickly and easily turning Balloon Help either on or off (if your keyboard has function keys, you may also set one of these as your shortcut).

With the growing tendency of software companies not to include a printed manual with their programs, Balloon Help can be a very attractive alternative to having to first find, then open, and -- finally -- to search through an online manual when you want to quickly find out some info about an application that you are using. Also, by its very nature, Balloon Help is context sensitive.

The downside to using Balloon Help has always been that once you've gotten the information you need, you have obtrusive "balloons" popping up all over the place. Of course, you can always go to the Help menu to turn Balloon Help either on or off, but this quickly becomes both tedious and relatively time consuming.

URLologist is a dragndrop URL/e-mail address extraction utility. URLologist will extract addresses from most text file formats including those pesky read-only, Read Me files that accompany almost every program ever written.

Addresses can be extracted 3 ways; dragging and dropping text files on URLologists icon, using the standard Open File dialog box or from text which has been copied to the Clipboard which is especially useful on pages chock-full-o-links. Simply view source, copy all, extract addresses. Thats it. No more clicking back.

Once addresses have been extracted URLologist can launch your browser and take you to that address or you can save addresses directly to your browsers bookmark file for later use. URLologist will also allow entry of text for MSIE™s bookmark balloon comments. Bookmarks added by URLologist are also preceded by an * so you can tell at a glance which ones they are.

When e-mail addresses are chosen URLologist will launch your e-mail client and open a pre-addressed message. Email addresses can also be saved to temporary files for import to your permanent Address Book at a later time.

If you need to see how the address was used in the document URLologist will display it in a separate window in context. URLologist will also allow you to edit extracted addresses should the need arise.

A dialog appears to set the sound parameters; you probably will not need to change these (they are retrieved directly from the damaged file).
