Move to iTunes - Quickly moves dropped audio & video files to iTunes more>>
"Move to iTunes" moves the audio and video files dropped onto it to your iTunes library. When the original files are on your hard drive, this happens nearly instantly, even for massive video files, and leaves no duplicate files on the drive. In the case of video files, it also sets them to resume where you left off, and so they will not play during shuffle play.
Why? The primary use of this for me is to add DVD movies Ive converted for my iPod with Handbrake to iTunes, without having to wait a long time for them to copy, without having to manually trash the duplicate original, and without having to manually set the "Remember playback position" and "Skip when shuffling" options every time.

- fixed double-click running of script
- added optional feature to set the gapless playback option for audio tracks, retaining creation-date order when added - this is useful when using Move to iTunes to send tracks recorded with an MP3 stream recorder such as RadioLover to iTunes. iTunes 4 introduced the ability to share music between computers. However, as of version 4.1, iTunes doesnt provide much information about who is connected or what is being shared. This utility monitors iTunes to provide a solution.
The iTunes application must be named "iTunes." In order to be recognized as music files, file names must have one of the following extensions: .wav, .wma, .sn2, .mov, .moov, .mp3, .aiff, .m4a, or .m4p. The iTunes Monitor cant associate a shared music file with a given remote user and files being accessed locally arent distinguished from those being shared. iTunes monitor cant display the name of a file which is being received. iTunes Monitor may not work properly if another application is being used to proxy music streams over the Internet (iTunes 4.0.1 only.)
Since lsof (the UNIX tool at the core of this application) doesnt reliably return complete path names, iTunes Monitor must scan your Music folder when a new file is encountered. It may take a few seconds after launching before it completes its analysis of the files and sockets iTunes is using and initially displays the information.

- Bug fixes: fixed memory leaks, improved responsiveness, fix for Panther.
