Apple Sleep Memory Extension 1.0 is a simple to use, yet sophisticated utility for all iBook and PowerBook (FireWire) users.

Apple has identified a bug in its system software which in very rare circumstances can prevent your computer from properly waking up from sleep. Though you will most likely never encounter this bug, we still recommend that all iBook and new PowerBook (FireWire) owners download and install the following Sleep Memory Extension software patch, which eliminates this bug.

Requirements: iBook or FireWire PowerBook

Process Sleep Demo is a class (not a plugin) that uses Threads and Semaphores in order to allow a routine to put itself to sleep until some other code awakes the routine again so that it continues in its flow.

The whole thing is quite simple, really, but since its apparent that most RB users do not know of this rather smart technique, Ive made this demo for them.

Talk Timer is a simple application in Squeak for use at conferences to help speakers keep track of how much time they have left.
The timer counts down the number of minutes reserved for the talk and turns red when only 5 minutes are left, when times up it also flashes.
I originally quickly hacked this together at the Camp Smalltalk event at the ESUG 2005 conference, where we installed it on a computer next to the speakers.
