It can handle files that have been compressed many times. Want to tar then gzip a folder? Compress will let you do that. Got a file called "folder.gz.tar"? Compress will extract those files without breaking a stride.

Open Photos is a useful script application showing how to use an idle handler to emulate a repeat loop. It opens multiple JPEG photos dropped on it, but it waits for each photo to open before opening the next.

Requirements:

This is an application just for taking photos from a video camera like an iSight.

For best results you may setup the application like this:

* Save pictures in the PNG format.
* Set the resolution in the preferences to the native one of the camera.
* The compression settings for the video source should be set to "no compression".

This application is freeware and provided as is.

Compress, Encrypt, and Email is an Automator workflow that allows you to print a document as an encrypted PDF document, the PDF is then included in a new email message.

Compress, Encrypt, and Email can be installed by double clicking the CompressEncryptEmail installer package that is in this folder. Complete the installer by following the instructions. A restart is not required, but it is recommended.

Using Compress, Encrypt, and Email is not a difficult task. When you are ready to make the PDF file and start the workflow, click the File menu and click Print. When the print dialog is displayed, click the PDF menu and select "Compress, Encrypt, Email".

This will begin making the PDF, after a couple of seconds (depending on how big the PDF is) a dialog will be displayed asking for an encryption password; type in your password and click continue.
