Inspired by Tiger Technologiess Holiday Lights, MacLampsX allows you to decorate for Christmas, or any other holiday with user-creatable bulbs, as well as a small set of defaults.
MacLampsX brings light strings to your desktop.

Spoook is a nifty little utility,that provides the user with the ability to freely view and change the mac-creator,mac-type and visibility of a file or folder.
Trough the build in file browser and the "mass control" functions the user can easily navigate to/trough the files and folders as if they where all visible,and dynamically transform their names and other properties based on specified criteria.
Spoook is a must have for all Mac OS users that like to be in charge of their files,as well as people who need to deal with a big amount of files!

Heres an AppleScript droplet to compress files and folders with the unix utility "gnutar" which comes with the Apple Developer Tools. This script equals to manually typing "gnutar zcf" with Terminal.
You can have a choice of the archive name. By default, the current date suffix in yyyymmdd format is added.
I built this script to save myself a few seconds every time I back up my files (which happens many times daily). This script is provided to you "AS IS" and the responsibility for its operation is yours. However you should avoid putting any of these , ", /, :, etc. in the file name.

Mac OS X. Fonts. Font Caches. ERRR! Having the forementioned as part of my daily grind, enough is enough and frustration sets in! Having dealt with font cache issues in every versions of Mac OS X, Tiger seems to have topped them all.
So I made a tool to make my life easier.
Solution? FontNuke.
FontNuke is a very useful tool for Mac OSX Tiger that removes corrupt / troublesome font cache files. I created this application as a tool for my personal use at the office, and has become very useful for me.
To grant individual non-admin users the ability to remove font cache files, without my involvement--is HUGE! Not to mention intelligent application quitting, plus a GUARANTEED reboot, makes my life easier.
I formerly had shell scripts installed on my clients, and would log in via SSH, then execute my cache removal script each and every time the clients had a font issue. That gets old fast, so rather than continue to work that way, I whipped together FontNuke.
I made this application for myself, and Im just posting it here to share. On top of the fact I like free things, so hey...why not keep it free! If FontNuke is useful to anyone else, please--help yourself. I take no responsibility for any products of misuse.
FontNuke has been an indispensible tool for me. Especially as a sysadmin with non-admin users experiencing font cache issues. Empowering users with tools to remain productive is what Im all about.
