For users of Apples Backup 3, you can now backup your Check Off tasks and preferences.
To use this, youll need Apple Backup 3 which is available as part of their .Mac service.

I suppose you didnt know that your available (status) messages are truncated to 44 characters in iChat. You do now. Its a really stupid number to choose, but there it is. This app helps you see if others can see your status, and compose a status to fit the size.

Check Text is an AppleScript extension that adds commands for geting information of text.
In the Plain Text commands, the specified data is always handled as plain text. That is, the data is coerced to plain text (by Apple Event Manager) first if it is not.
For example, even the styled text is coerced to plain text anyway so that the original script (language) code is not considered.
Enhancements:
- Mac OS X version and PowerPC native versions are now available.
- The file name was changed from "Text X" to "Check Text".
- Functionally not changed from 1.1.1 but some parts of code were improved.

The Check Resource Forks routine allows users of OS X, with the Unix subsystem installed, to check whether or not files have resource forks.

They can then take the appropriate measures to avoid damaging them when they use Unix binaries. The routine will, if possible, return a record with the filepaths of the files with resource forks. Extensive documentation is included.

PiXel Check is a utility that allows you to easily turn on all or specific pixels on your LCD display, allowing you to check for bad or dead LCD pixels.
Click the mouse button or press any key to dismiss a test or jump to the next color in the "Automatic" mode.
To the best of my knowledge, this is the FIRST and ONLY LCD pixel checking utility for OS X. Why do I say this? Well, I couldnt find any, so I wrote PiXel Check! :)

Logcheck is software package that is designed to automatically check and run system log files for unusual activity and security violations.
Logcheck utilizes a program called logtail that remembers the last position it read from in a log file and uses this position on subsequent runs to process new information.
