This API provides an abstraction layer to allow accessibility applications a way to manipulate the UI of other applications, be they Carbon or Cocoa. The API is provided for use by both Carbon and Cocoa applications, although this sample demonstrates their use from a Cocoa application.

In UIElementInspector, the Accessibility API is used to get information about whatever AXUIElements (widgets) are under the mouse at any given time. Information may be obtained from the AXUIElement, and actions that it has may be performed.

As the mouse moves, the inspector window displays information obtained through the new API. When you then lock the inspector window on an element, you can dig deeper into the information provided by the API for that object, as well as trigger any actions that it might provide, in the interaction window.

UIElementInspector sample does not demonstrate how to make a custom UI element accessible so that the Accessibility API can access it. Custom Cocoa widgets will often just inherit the right behavior from their superclass.

Carbon applications will typically need to provide a little more code to serve up the right information to applications that are interested. Instead, this sample shows how to use the Accessibility API itself - to get information on other applications and UI elements on the screen, which you would need to do as an accessibility application.

Rigs of Rods is a complex 3D simulator game where you can drive, fly and sail various vehicles using an accurate and unique soft-body physics engine.
Rigs of Rods (also known as RoR), is a truck, car, airplane and boat simulator. You can drive, fly or sail in total freedom in an open environment.
What makes RoR different to most simulators is its unique soft-body physics: vehicles chassis and wheels are simulated in real-time as flexible objects, giving the simulation an extremely accurate behavior, while allowing the vehicles to be simply specified by their structural composition, as a network of interconnected nodes (forming the chassis and the wheels).
Crashing into walls or terrain can permanently deform a vehicle in a realistic manner.
In addition to its unique soft-body physics, RoR also features an advanced flight model based on blade element theory, allowing the accurate simulation of any airplane, base on their physical dimensions and wing airfoils.
RoR also features an accurate buoyancy model based on elemental pressure gradients, enabling boats with complex hulls to move realistically in the swell.

Fuzzy Coconut is pleased to announce its first Dashboard Widget, an off-line reference to the XHTML 1 specification from the W3C. The fcXHTML Reference widget does not function by retrieving information from the internet; instead its entirely self-contained, so itll work even when wi-fi doesnt.
The fcXHTML widget provides a concise bit of information for each element in the xhtml specification. Each element can be accessed either via a pull-down menu or by directly editing the name of its tag and using the arrow keys to select a choice from suggested matches.

Porportional Resize is an AppleScript that takes a new width and resizes the selected element to that width, proportionally setting the height or takes a new height and resizes the selected element to that height, proportionally setting the width.

RefEls is a Perl script that lets you look up and increase knowledge of the periodic table of elements. For all of the elements on the table the name, symbol, atomic number, and atomic weight have been referenced (the atomic weights for some elements are only those of the most common or well known types of the element, and may not be the only possible atomic weight).

There are two functions in the program. One is used to look up information about elements, and the other is a function like flash cards that allows you to test and improve your knowledge of the elements.

The reference section is used by typing in an attribute of an element, and then getting all of the information referenced about that element. You can type in the name, symbol, atomic number, or atomic weight to get the information about an element.

The flash card section works like normal cardboard flash cards: you are given one quality of an element and you have to give another quality of the same element back. One example would be the computer giving you the name of element and you having to give the atomic number for that element.
