Ball & Stick 3.7.6 is a tool to make the generation of images and animations of three dimensional molecular models at atomic resolution from input files obtained from either structure libraries (e.g. protein data bank) or generated by experimental methods (e.g. X-ray crystallography, NMR,...) of by computatioanl chemistry (e.g. molecular mechanics, quantum-mechanics,...)

Who uses Ball & Stick?

• People working in "molecular sciences" who want to publish graphical representations of molecular models (click for examples). What sets off B&S from other products in this area is the print quality achieved on moderately priced systems.

Technically this is due to the fact that use a vector graphics concept up to the last step of rendering, which is done by the selected driver (display or printer).

Neal Button Icons is a lovely button icon set that you can stick anywhere to decorate your desktop.
All icons are aquafied and look best in 128x128 at 32bit mode.

Bookstar is my attempt to provide a book cataloguing system. Basically, Bookstar is to books what iTunes is to music. The program organises, stores, and manages all your e-book files.

Bookstar also includes a book diary for writing down what youve read and an editor for reformatting troublesome (gutenburg) books.

This app is still somewhat in the beta stage of things, since bugs keep popping up and going to ground before I can find em. If you arent thrilled with a book program that actually manages the files, stick aroung for Bookstar delta which I will write sometime in the near future to imitate more closely the funtionality of Moviestars file-passive database.

Raster3D is a set of tools for generating high quality raster images of proteins or other molecules. The core program renders spheres, triangles, cylinders, and quadric surfaces with specular highlighting, Phong shading, and shadowing.

It uses an efficient software Z-buffer algorithm which is independent of any graphics hardware. Ancillary programs process atomic coordinates from PDB files into rendering descriptions for pictures composed of ribbons, space-filling atoms, bonds, ball+stick, etc.

Raster3D can also be used to render pictures composed in other programs such as Molscript in glorious 3D with highlights, shadowing, etc. Output is to pixel image files with 24 bits of color information per pixel.

HomebrewPSP Converter is a simple drag-and-drop tool to convert Homebrew PSP software for v1.0 PSPs for use on v1.5 PSPs using the 2 Memory Stick boot method.
Simply drag an EBOOT.PBP file to the dropwell and click convert, choose your save location and press the Convert button. HomebrewPSP Converter will save your new, ready to go files in clearly labeld folders...just copy the folders created to the indicated Memory Sticks and enjoy

Stick it works more like a little notebook. This paradigm makes more sense for those who want to make quick notes and keep them together, but have limited screen real estate while working with other tools.
Stick it is excellent for those who work with web-based applications, which are prone to crashing or behaving unexpectedly. Its great to have a simple, robust little tool to hold your notes rather than relying on that web app to behave properly all the time.
Stick it saves you the frustration of having to re-type everything you just took down and entered into a text field in the web application, when the web application crashes the browser, or times out, or surprises you in some other way.
