BPT is a free and open source Python library (bpt) and a command line application (box) that will allow you to create and manage isolated enviroments, or boxes.
Boxes are relocatable, which means that they can be moved to a different directory or even distributed to other machines (provided that the architecture is compatible).
Packages inside the box can be easily disabled, enabled and removed, so that different versions of the same software can be installed simultaneously, allowing to switch between them.
BPT is similar in some ways to virtualenv, but it is not restricted to Python packages, allowing to install virtually any Unix software.
It also takes some ideas from jhbuild, but without the dependency resolution and automatic downloading machinery, and the bpt-rules format is inspired by Gentoos ebuilds.
How to use it
A box is a directory whose structure resembles /usr/, that can contain one or more software packages. Each package is contained in a subdirectory of the pkgs directory in the box.
A box contains a script, env, which sets up the environment, putting all the libraries, executables, etc. in the path.

BolinOS is based on a data structure compatible with Sqeleton, Internet/Web operating system, and uses standard open-source software: PHP, Apache, mySQL. Many functionalities already exist. For example, an integrated agenda, email portal, groups and forums managemnt systen create a basic applicative set of easily integrated and publishable online tools.
There are also many more focused applications, such as multimedia albums, image collections, image manipulation applications or scientific poster making modules for online and paper publication. Many others are currently under development using the BolinOS framework.

The situation is further complicated by different sets of rules in certain states (DC/DE/MD/TX/VA).
E&M Verify (EMV) considers all physical templates, history, and complexity by either set of rules and determines the optimal billing level. EMV from Rush Runware allows physicians to spot-check themselves and ensure that they are coding at the rate to which they are entitled. It can also be used for in-house auditing by the practice's or hospital's billing personnel and as a training tool for residents.
