Black Shades was one of the winners of the UDevGame 2002 contest, out of about 40 contestants. I aimed for a much simpler graphical style than in GLFighters and Lugaru in order to complete the game within the deadline. In Black Shades you control a psychic bodyguard, and try to protect the VIP (dressed in white) from a horde of zombies, snipers and other assorted would-be assassins.
Main features:
- Infinite randomly generated city
- Rag-doll skeletal animation

- Stop assassins by shooting them, knocking them unconscious, disarming them, tackling the VIP out of the line of fire, or any combination of the above.
Enhancements:
- 11-1 fixed "quick keys" issue when pressing a key such as b (to turn on infinite slow-mo) would turn off when the key was let off, thus requiring the player to hold that key down for infinite slow-mo.
- 11-1 spaced out text in developer mode, and made cursor on main menu brighter being easier to see.
- 10-29 cleaned up bits and pieces, clearly resulting in performance gains... especially on older machines.

Gouraud Shaded Balls is an OpenGL project which presents a graphic emulation of two 3D balls. the balls can be repositioned and the lightning can be adjusted also.

Completly freeware for personal use.

Shade Overlay is an AppleScript that will lighten or darken an area of a selected image in QuarkXPress. This is often done to place text over an image and still have it readable.

To use, place a text or picture box (can even be a polygon) over the part of the image you wish to effect, select the overlay box and the image, and run the script.

The script has preferences for setting the brightness and contrast of either the area covered by the overlay box or the area around the overlay box.

There are preference controls for whether you want the script to use a duplicate file or the original.

Sudoku Susser is a free program that helps solve Sudoku puzzles.
In addition to being more convenient than pencil-and-paper, the Susser also can show hints, solve the problem step-by-step using human deductive reasoning, or brute-force solve it using recursion.
You can drag Sudoku problems directly from web pages, save, edit, print and more.
And if you like the program, you can tip the author to encourage him to improve it.
Main features:
- You can drag Sudoku graphics from the webpages of major UK newspapers and theyll be scanned and loaded into the application.
- You can manage, rename, reorder, and print out your Sudokus.
- Undo and redo are fully supported.
Enhancements:
- Added ability to unlock a stash of puzzles from my Sudoku books (Brainiac Sudoku / Sudoku To Go) if you know the ISBNs. Coming soon to discriminating bookstores!
- Naked Set / Consequence Tree buttons "stick" to their shifted/unshifted state when selected, so they show you which version of the hilighter is active.
- Reclicking on a selected hilighter now turns it off.
- Reclicking on a selected row/column label now toggles the hilighting. Note: if you shift-click a label, then clicking sets the hilighting to the regular hilighting; you have to click in the same way as the current hilighting to take it down completely.
- Added "ESC" button (with eraser icon) that disables current hilighting (it was about the only thing you couldnt do with the mouse!)
- New "Possibility Numbers (when hilighted)" color option in preferences lets you use a different color for the possibility digits when the square is hilighted. Many people prefer white to the default green in this instance.
- Susser now recognizes files of type ".fetch" to be the same as ".url" url list files (.url has a special meaning under Windows)
- Changeable colors can no longer have 0 saturation, as this was apparently causing some problems on some Linux implementations.
- Initial squares are now lightly shaded on printouts and graphic puzzle drags (unless your printer is totally lame...)
- Fixed crashing bug when you used the comprehensive consequence tree hilighter (shift-t) and hilighted a pinned square.
- Use Line Connectors, Concise Defuction Output and File -> Half Sized Puzzles preferences were not being saved/restored properly.
- If you solved the puzzle incorrectly when in Marquis de Sade Masochism Mode, the Susser would congratulate you! Thats sadistic, not masochistic...
- Graphic puzzle OCR was claiming that hints were being turned off after load, but this was no longer true; message removed.
- Set Initial Squares now properly updates the "changed" state of the puzzle, and also resets the Undo stack (since this operation cannot be properly undone at present).

b/w gradual is an iMovie plug-in that converts your clip to black-and-any-color. You can set a color (e.g. yellow), and the plug will convert your clip to a monochrome yellow clip (i.e. it uses only shades of yellow).

b/w gradual is a tool that creates a nice and interesting effect - think sepia tone effect, except you get to pick the color tone.

area of effect :
define the area of the clip you want to be affected by the plug-in. all other parts or the clip remain untouched.

b/w
this determines how much the colors should fade towards black/white.
