Jigsaw Blocks 1.0
Jigsaw Blocks is an addictive puzzle game that will challenge the mind! Move the blocks to the correct position to solve the puzzle more>>
Blokz 1.0
Blokz - Another mind-bending puzzle game more>>
The object of this game is simple: Change all of the blocks in the puzzle to white. You do this by clicking on blocks until all blocks in the puzzle are white. When you click a block, all adjacent blocks are changed by one color according to the key shown in the lower right. Red becomes green; Green becomes blue; Blue becomes yellow; Yellow becomes cyan; Cyan becomes purple; Purple becomes white; White becomes red.
When the game begins, the puzzle is a 2 by 2 grid, and you are given one minute to solve the puzzle. Successfully solve the puzzle, and the remaining time is carried over to the next level. In addition, the time alloted for a new level is level plus one minutes. So, level one, you have two minutes, plus the unused time from level zero. Level three gives you four minutes, plus the unused time from level two.
As the levels increase, the puzzle size increases.
Level 0 - 3, 2x2
Level 4 - 15, 4x4
Level 16 - 35, 6x6
Level 36 - 63, 8x8
Level 64 - 99, 10x10
Level 100 - 143, 12x12
Level 144 - 195, 14x14
Level 196 - 255, 16x16
Level 256 - 323, 18x18
Level 324+ 20x20
The complexity of the puzzle increases as the level increases as well. On level zero, the computer generates the puzzle by "clicking" one block. So to solve the puzzle, you should be able to simply click one block, turning all 4 blocks white. On level one, the computer does this twice, and thus the puzzle can be solved in 2 clicks. So for each level, the puzzle can be solved in level plus one clicks.
There could be multiple paths to correctly solving the puzzle. If at any point you decide that you have gone down the wrong road, you can reset the board to its original state. However, the time spent thus far on solving the puzzle is still spent, and is not returned. To reset the board, click the "Reset Board" button.
You can begin a new game at any point by clicking the "New Game" button. You will start over at level zero.
The game can be paused at any time by clicking the "Pause" button. While the game is paused, the time remaining to solve the puzzle remains unchanged. The board is hidden from view, and the "Pause" button flashes to indicate that the game is paused. Simply click the "Pause" button a second time to resume play.
When you are done playing the game, you can quit, by clicking the "Quit" button. The current game will end and the application will close.
This game should run fine on Mac OS X and Mac OS 9

Interlock 1.4
A Rails plugin for maintainable and high-efficiency caching more>> A Rails plugin for maintainable and high-efficiency caching
Interlock is an intelligent fragment cache for Rails. It works by making your view fragments and associated controller blocks march along together. If a fragment is fresh, the controller behavior wont run.
This eliminates duplicate effort from your request cycle. Your controller blocks run so infrequently that you can use regular ActiveRecord finders and not worry about object caching at all.
Invalidations are automatically tracked based on the model lifecyle, and you can scope any block to an arbitrary level. Interlock also caches content_for calls, unlike regular Rails, and can optionally cache simple finders.
Interlock is using a tiered caching layer so that the multiple look-ups of a key only hit memcached once per request.
System requirements:
- memcached
- memcache-client
- Rails 2.1
Enhancements:
- Rails 2.1 compatibility. Store dependency trees per object, when possible. Use shorter namespaces for Memcached.

Badonkoid 1.0
Badonkoid - Breakout variation more>>
Badonkoid is the most twisted breakout variation you have ever seen.
The object of the game is to continue to bounce the ball and break the most blocks. If the ball reaches any of the four walls before it is bounced, the game ends.
The level increases every 10 blocks that are broken. As the level increases, the speed of the ball increases, until level 40. Level 40 and beyond maintain the same speed. Also, as the level increases, the number of created blocks increases. On level 0, there is 1 block created with each paddle hit. On level 1, there is 1 block created each paddle hit + 1 block created every 4 paddle hits. On level 2, there is 1 block created with each paddle hit, and 2 blocks created every 4 paddle hits. And so on and so forth for each additional level.
Looktxt 1.0.6
Free and open source numerical block reader more>> Free and open source numerical block reader
Looktxt Search and export numerics from any text/ascii file. Data sets (scalar, vector, matrix) are given unique names, based on file content.
Results can be generated for Matlab, IDL, Octave, XML, Scilab, HTML while a wrapper offers the possibility of direct usage from Matlab.
Extracting data from a text file is a never ending story. Usually, one will write a short script or program/function to analyse each specific input data format. The looktxtcommand purpose is to read any text data file containing numerical blocks just as a human would read it.
Specifically, it looks for contiguous numerical blocks, which are stored into matrices, and other parts of the input file are classified as headers which are optionally exported. Numerical blocks are labelled according to the preceeding header block last word.
Blocks read from the data file can be sorted into sections. Each section SEC starts when it appears in a header and contains all following fields until a new section is found or the end of the file.
Additionally, one may search for specific metadata keywords, at users choice. Each data field matching the keyword metadata META in its headers will create a new entry in the MetaData section.
The output data files may be generated using "Matlab", "Scilab", "IDL", "Octave", "XML", "HTML", and "Raw" formats (using the -f FORMAT option), using a structure-like hierarchy. This hierarchy contains all sections, metadata and optionally headers that have been found during the parsing of the input data file.
After using looktxt foothe data is simply loaded into memory using e.g. matlab> ans=foo;. The exact method to import data is indicated at the begining of the output data file, and depends on the format.
The command can handle large files (tens of Mo) within a few secconds, with minimal memory requirements.
Enhancements
- Fixed support for gcc-4
