Photomatix extends the dynamic range of digital photographs or scanned films. If you have ever shot a high contrast scene, you probably know the problem -- blown out highlights and loss of contrast in shadows. Photomatix offers two ways to solve this:
• Exposure blending: combining images taken at different exposures into one image with increased dynamic range
• Tone Mapping: processing a High Dynamic Range (HDR) image to compress its tonal range while preserving local contrast.

The result is an image that you can display on standard monitors, while preserving the details of the original scene in highlights and shadows.

BoingX is a Apple demo (originally written by Ken Dyke) which I modified to use display lists (now drawing some 500K polygons) with per vertex lighting and a basic sin wave distortion (using ARB_vertex_program) thrown in for fun.

It makes for a pretty good vertex performance demo :)

Chipmunk Basic is a classic Basic interpreter which runs on almost all Macs.
Supported features include AppleScript, Drag & Drop, graphics, sprites, sound, speech and OOP (object oriented programming).
Versions for System 6.0.7 thru Mac OS X 10.3, and for systems from on old Mac 512Kes thru the latest Apple iBooks and G4/G5 PowerMacs.

XML LIbrary (Basic) 1.1.6 is an innovative and versatile utility which provides an all-Transcript plugin for Revolution developers. Allows manipulation of multiple XML documents at once. The Basic version is free and allows reading and parsing of XML documents. Full documentation is included.

Basic Black is a small screensaver module that will simply turn the screen black. Usefull for iBook as the display needs less power to display just black than anything different.
Completly freeware.
