Zattoo is a peer-to-peer application. This means that the data is not streamed from one central server to all users watching a certain program, but flows from one user to the next, thus also using the computing power of the users computers.
The technology is based on research done by Sugih Jamin and Wenjie Wang at the University of Michigan and is optimized to stream live content.

Desktop Folder Fixer 1.2 is a rather praiseworthy program that will toggle the state of the invisible bit of the Desktop Folder.
If you are unable to see the Desktop folder when FileSharing or if Sherlock reports it is unable to open items on the Desktop because they are in an invisible folder, the invisible bit on the Desktop Folder may have been set.
The Desktop Folder Fixer will make the Desktop Folder visible so that others connected to your computer via file sharing are able to access the Desktop Folder of your computer. Making the Desktop Folder visible does not mean that after running this utility you will be able see the Desktop Folder at the root level of the hard drive.
The Finder treats the Desktop Folder as a special case and even when the Desktop Folders invisible bit is not set, the Finder does not display the Desktop Folder in the root level of the hard drive. The current state of the desktop folder can be checked with and special utility software. While booted into Mac OS 9.x, create an alias of the hard drive and place it in the Apple Menu Items Folder.
When you select the Apple Menu scroll down to the name of your hard drive and look at the first hierarchical menu. This should be a listing of the items on the first level of the hard drive. If the Desktop Folders invisible bit has been set, it will not appear in this listing. If it is not, and it should not be, the Desktop Folder will be shown.
The Desktop Folder Fixer is a Carbonized application and can be run from either Mac OS 9.1 or Mac OS X. While the Desktop Folder Fixer is a carbonized application, it targets the "Macintosh HD:Desktop Folder" regardless of which system version it is run from.

The package installer will install clean.sh (or cleanbasic.sh or cleanmm.sh - depending on the package that you install) and cleanup.sh in the /Library/Scripts folder of the local machine. It will then set a login and logout hook on the local machine so that clean.sh (or cleanbasic.sh or cleanmm.sh - depending on the package that you install) will run at each login and cleanup.sh at each logout. All local accounts (including mobile accounts and portable home directories) will bypass these scripts, and only users with network homes will be affected.
NHRBasic.pkg simply redirects the network users Caches and Fonts folders to the local machine (Caches into /tmp and Fonts to /Library/Fonts). NHR.pkg redirects the network users Caches and Fonts folders, along with the users Microsoft User Data and AppleWorks User Data folders. One thing that is important for this installer to work correctly, is to make sure the local admin user (the first account set up on the local machine - with UID 501), has launched all of the Office applications - Word, Excel and PowerPoint and AppleWorks.
It is also important to note that you need to throw away the local admin users Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Clip Gallery Preference file. If this file is present, it will cause Clip Art Gallery to hang on network home users. NHRMM.pkg will do everything that NHR.pkg does, and will also redirect the network users Movies, Music and Pictures folders to the local machine (in /Users/Shared/). And NHRUninstall.pkg is a package that will delete all scripts from any of the package installs above and the login and logout hooks.

Hide-Out! is a very simple application which allows you to take advantage of Mac OS Xs ability to hide a folder by putting a full point in front of its name.
Hide-Out! will allow you to do this easily without having to use the terminal application and it now sets the invisible bit on the folder too, keeping it hidden in Mac OS 9.
So if you have some stuff that youd like to keep away from prying eyes, you can now keep it in your Hide-Out!

Folders-Full Set - a complete new set of folder icons to replace all the default blue Apple folder icons more>>
Icons are provided for the HD, applications folders, home and for every layer of folders on the Mac starting from the first HD subdirectory and from the first home subdirectory - both of which I called "Layer 1" - to the last layer of folders under each of these directories which is "Layer 11".
Each layer of folders supplied here has an allocated colour for the folders tabs with matching "jewel" apples on the folders fronts complementing their unique icons. Accordingly, I strongly recommend that you replace the folder icons on your machine layer by layer.
Obviously, this set of icons can never be complete as regards to application folders, however, you can contact me with your requests for further folder icons which I will add to my request list and create the icons to be added in subsequent versions. Regarding non-application folder icons, the set should be complete.
