Scribe 2.5 makes it easy for you to create, organize, index, search, link, and cross-reference your note and source cards. Scribe 2.5 is a note-taking program designed by a historian. Think of it as the next step in the evolution of traditional 3x5 note cards. Intuitive and easy enough for a college student, Scribe allows the most meticulous researcher to store extensive notes, digital images, and, in addition to the usual published references, more formatted archival source types than any other bibliographic program.

You can assemble, print, and export bibliographies, copy formatted references to clipboard (Chicago or MLA style), and import sources from online catalogs (one at a time only). You can store entire articles, add extended comments on each card in a separate field, and find and highlight a particular word within a note or article. Not to mention such features as the outline, timeline, and glossary.

Virtual Notecards 2.1 is a handy program with which scholars, students, journalists and other researchers can easily keep linked databases of notes, quotes, bibliographic records and people. The "virtual notecard" metaphor is an extension of the traditional use of 3x5" index cards to store notes and quotes, and to equip such a database with fast searches and sorts, transportation between applications, and relationality within the database.

BibDesk is a graphical BibTeX-bibliography manager for Mac OS X. BibDesk is designed to help organize and use bibliographic databases in BibTeX .bib format.
In addition to manual typing, BibDesk lets you drag & drop or cut & paste .bib files into the bibliographic database and automatically opens files downloaded from PubMed. BibDesk also keeps track of electronic copies of literature on your computer and allows for searching your database through several keys.
BibDesk integrates well with TeX for creating citations and bibliographies. This integration includes a Citation search completion service, and drag & drop (cut & paste) support for adding citations to TeX files.

Callsign Lookup is a simple, small utility that allows the amateur radio operator with a dedicated Internet connection (DSL, cable) to quickly access online callsign databases.

The program provides you with a small window that you can store in the corner of the screen and quickly access the online database of your choice through your the default web browser.

Accessing the online callsign databases can be done easily WITHOUT Callsign Lookup, but the goal is to provide easier accessibility and save a few clicks.
