speak is a silly ‘throwaway’ program I created to speak text files from the command line on any MacOS X 10.3+ system using the default MacInTalk Voice.

AIFF from PCM is a freeware tool to convert files containing stereo or mono linear PCM sound data into AIFF format.
To help visualize here is an example: You authored a DVD disk using iDVD a long time ago. The burned disk is still there but your original soundtrack is no more available. Although you can extract the sound data from the DVD using for example the excellent MacTheRipper or YadeX, this extracted file wont play.
The problem is that it will be extracted as PCM, which is a raw sound data missing any additional information. To play it, to import it into iTunes or to use it in iDVD again, the file has to be converted into another format. The file type most recommended to be converted to would be AIFF, and AIFF from PCM is a tool that can be of great help for this job.

Choose Color From List presents you with a list with the names of the months. Depending the choice made a given spot color spec will be changed in the Quark template.

Find MX from Domain is a little AppleScript that will return the mail-server dns-name that corresponds to a domain name using the shell commands "dig" and "grep".

Completly freeware for non-commercial use.

To remove messages permanently from the server at the same time as you delete them from local folders, run Delete from Server X from your Empty Deleted Items schedule instead of the standard Delete Mail action.

This will also prevent them from downloading again, but will let you keep the rest of your messages on the server until youre ready to remove them in the usual way. It also deletes messages and folders from the Deleted Items folder (if you use one) of any and every IMAP account you may have.

Create OE from PD is an adaptation of a script that ships with the Palm Desktop to launch Claris Emailer, and a script by Richard Dyce.

To use in the Palm Desktop, add the script to the Applescripts folder in the Palm Desktop folder. Then pull up an email contact in the desktop and select the options field (the down arrow on the right of the contact), select "Field Options", Applescript Buttons, (this script).

This script automates the conversion of OmniGraffle files to PDF.

You can use this script as an application or a Script Menu item.

When using it as a Script Menu item, select files in the Finder first and then run this script from the menu.

To use it as an application, simply open it or drop OmniGraffle files onto it. The OmniGraffle files will be opened in OmniGraffle and then saved as a PDF.
