NIH Image 1.62 is a must- have tool which can acquire, display, edit, enhance, analyze, and animate images. It reads and writes TIFF, PICT, PICS, and MacPaint files, providing compatibility with many applications, including programs for scanning, processing, editing, publishing, and analyzing images. NIH Image supports many standard image-processing functions, such as contrast enhancement, density profiling, smoothing, sharpening, edge detection, median filtering, and spatial convolution with user-defined kernels. DVD Imager 1.6 is a smart tool with which you can create burnable DVD disk images based on a DVD video disk that you have made using iDVD, or other means. Mac OS X 10.2 is required. Just drop any VIDEO_TS folder onto its icon and choose the location where you want the image saved. Destination should be on a local volume.
DVD Imager will prompt you to name the image volume, create the disk image, then quit. If you have a DVD burner, you should then be able to create a new DVD disk using the Burn command in Disk Copy. DVD Imager doesn't have the ability to decrypt video content but there are other programs for that. DVD Imager is an Applescript Studio GUI wrapper for Jorg Schilling's mkisofs binary executable.

It is an AppleScript front-end for dvdauthor and a variety of other existing command line tools.
I use MPEGStreamClip to edit the MPEG2 files recorded from TV, create the disk image in SmallDVD, then burn it with Disk Utility.
I wrote SmallDVD because I couldnt find anything else that let me create a DVD with several files, and a simple menu with a static background image.
Enhancements:
- Changed the way temporary files are stored to hopefully make it more resilient to unexpected missing folders
- Added ability to change aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3 (set in the template).
