postscriptfile 0.3.0 is a versatile backend which has the ability to print into watched folders, so that output files can be postprocessed automatically by tools like distiller, PStill, PDF Enhancer, GhostScript, whatever...
Actually with "PDF Services" in MacOS X 10.2.4 there is no big need for that. But it still can save you some time and... you can use all those mechanisms over the network, too. Just activate PrinterSharing on the machine this backend is installed or use hotfolders residing on network shares and you're done.
In 0.3.0 "folder actionscripts" have been added. In case, the backend will find executable files called "actionscript-pre" or "actionscript-post" in $TARGET_DIR, it will execute them before or after the printfile has been saved to disk. The backend will provide these scripts with as much infos as possible, to let them assist handling the PS/PDF files.
DAZ Studio Plugin SDK 3.0
Developer kit plugin for DAZ Studio. more>>
DAZ Studio Plugin SDK 3.0 is a useful utility which provides a very tightly integrated, fully object-oriented interface which has been designed for maximum extensibility of DAZ Studio at all levels.
The SDK provides you with the ability to add new functionality, interfaces, scene components, render engines, file I/O and much more, including the ability to integrate new components into the native file structure.
The DAZ Studio Plugin SDK also enables you to load DAZ Studio with full functionality from other applications making it possible to directly import/export data as well as host live DAZ Studio content in other applications.
DAZ Script: DAZ Studio can be accessed via a scripting language which allows for quite a bit of diversity in tool creation. Referred to as DAZ Script, this portion of the DAZ Studio SDK is available free of charge to anyone who wishes to download it. The DAZ Script developer kit contains a complete integrated development environment (IDE), documentation, and sample scripts, to help you get familar with the DAZ Script language. DAZ Script is a dynamically typed, interpreted, object-oriented scripting language that is tightly integrated into the DAZ Studio API. It's roots are found in QSA (Qt Script for Applications - by Trolltech), and like QSA, is based on a subset of the ECMAScript Standard (ECMA-262). Syntactically, DAZ Script is very similar to JavaScript (Netscape), JScript (Microsoft) and ActionScript (Macromedia/Adobe) - which are all based on, or are the basis of, the before mentioned standard - and if you have any familiarity with these languages, chances are you will find the transition to DAZ Script quite comfortable.
Major Features:
- Extensive Documentation
- DAZ|Studio 1.7 compatible
- Limited Qt developer license for use in creating plugins for DAZ Studio only: Includes all header files and custom Qt library files necessary to create a DAZ Studio plugin.
ScriptSWF 1.8.3
Free and open source compiler to create SWF movies more>> Free and open source compiler to create SWF movies
ScriptSWF is a C and C++ Library & a compiler to create Adobe Flash SWF movies up to version 9.
Supports nearly all the tags, includes an ActionScript compiler.Detailed docs and other tools: convert fonts to Flash, decompile Flash, jpg2swf.
ScriptSWF works under Mac OS/X (Fink), Linux (packages available for RedHat, Slackware, Debian, Linux on Power, Gentoo, FreeBSD), MinGW, MS-Windows (at least win98, 2k, xp), and Irix 6.5
The SSWF project includes several utilities to work on Flash movies. The main one is certainly the library which enables a programmer to easilly create an SWF file. The sswf tool can also be used to do just that: create a movie from a script.
The interest is to have the movie created dynamically with data which are available at the time of creation. This is of course only useful for web sites which are CGI enabled. Though thats was the main aim, the scripting language can also be used to generate static SWF files for your static web sites.
A great help would come from a tool which would be used to draw shapes and save them in the format understandable by sswf (a list of points, fill styles and a shape). If someone has plenty of time and wants to join...
NOTE: ScriptSWF is released under the BSD and MIT Licenses.
System requirements:
-
Enhancements:
- Fixed the compiler so enumeration names are taken as types.
- Fixed the xml.asc so it compiles. Also updated the XMLNode to the full Flash 8 definition.
- Fixed the assembler that would not properly set the value in an array. There were two swaps missing. (i.e. "a[expr] = b;" now works)
- Fixed the src/misc/Makefile.am so the libsswf_c is linked with ../lib (where the libsswf is found.) Somehow, it works fine under Linux but not exaclty well in cross-compiling with mingw32
- Fixed small mistakes in different documentations.
cloc 1.05
Counts blank lines, comment lines, and physical lines of source code in many programming languages more>> Counts blank lines, comment lines, and physical lines of source code in many programming languages
cloc counts blank lines, comment lines, and physical lines of source code in many programming languages.
It is written entirely in Perl using only modules from the standard distribution of Perl v5.6 and higher (well, sort of) and so is quite portable. cloc is known to run on many flavors of FreeBSD, Mac, Linux, AIX, Solaris, IRIX64, z/OS, and Windows.
Main features:>
- Exists as a single, self-contained file that requires minimal installation effort---just download the file and run it.
- Can read language comment definitions from a file and thus potentially work with computer languages that do not yet exist.
- Allows results from multiple runs to be summed together by language and by project.
- Can count code within compressed archives (tar balls, Zip files, Java .ear files).
- Has numerous troubleshooting options.
- Handles file and directory names with spaces and other unusual characters.
- Has no dependencies outside the standard Perl distribution.
- Runs on Mac OS X, FreeBSD, Linux, NetBSD, AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, IRIX64, and z/OS systems that have Perl 5.6 or higher. The source version runs on Windows with either ActiveState Perl or cygwin. Alternatively on Windows one can run the Windows binary which has no dependencies.
System requirements:
-
Enhancements:
- New languages: ActionScript, D. New options: --skip-uniqueness, --original-dir, --match-f, --not-match-f Python triple quoted strings now treated as comments.
- JSP is now also processed with C/C++ filters. Exit (instead of warn and continue) if incorrect options are given.
- Fixed a bug in the duplicate file identifying code. Previous versions counted duplicate files twice.
- Fix output column alignment when working with long file names or languages.
