The philosophy is to modify as little code as possible, so can not damage the Finder, which is a very essential part of the OS. This philosophy have proven to be very successfull! there's no reports of bugs or damages ever! (that's more than 4 years now) Still after applying this patch, MicroMats TechTools will prove the Finder to be good (unless of course it really is damaged for some other reason).
